sanu really REALLY isn't worth that deal. i think all the RBs got overpaid too. chris ivory has had exactly 1 1,000 yard season (and it was under 1100 yards), yet he's worth 6m+ a year? really?

But more to the point is that the Patriots pay there solid players like solid players not like superstars and the result of that is a better overall supporting cast. Overpaying for solid players leaves you in a place that history shows is unsustainable. Bennett has nowhere near the upside of Wilkerson and a 2nd rounder is a solid price to pay for a guy of Wilkerson's caliber.
