There are always one hit wonders out there.
If you were Cincy would you want to pass on the next potential Aaron Rodgers?

Should we be drafting Tua???MTK 03-05-2020, 05:00 PM There are always one hit wonders out there. If you were Cincy would you want to pass on the next potential Aaron Rodgers? Redskins247 03-05-2020, 05:02 PM He only just had one of the greatest, if not the greatest season in college football history. No biggie. I'm surprised no one is talking about Carolina trading up to try and get Burrow to pair him back with his LSU passing coordinator. Maybe they don't have the resources to do so...but if I were a fan, that is what I'd be hoping for vs. hoping Cam is "healthy" mredskins 03-06-2020, 08:26 AM He only just had one of the greatest, if not the greatest season in college football history. No biggie. Doesn't always translate to the NFL but time will tell. Still you got admit every year its two great QBs coming out hype and then fizzle. Lamar and Patrick are probably the two best in the last five years to come out neither was part of this pre-draft circle jerk hype machine before each of their respective drafts. Maybe I am old now but the NFL on so many levels is just wash rinse repeat year and year out. I actually enjoy amateur sports now more. What was so impressive is his wins against extremely quality opponents and defenses. Also, he played in an NFL style offense. This is the schedule he dominated: @Texas Florida Auburn @Alabama - rewatch that game. my god the poise. Georgia neutral field Oklahoma neutral field Clemson Who didn't he play in college football this year? What is true about Tua this past season...everytime he played...everytime...the announcers always talked about how much he hobbled around the field...always talking about how injured Tua was. The writing is on the wall...completely negligent to take him at 2 Buffalo Bob 03-06-2020, 10:21 AM All this shit is marketing. Every damn year there is the next two great QBs. Burrows is nothing great he is just the best they have this year to build up as the Golden Child. If you look at the list of college QBs that put up huge numbers there are plenty of guys that never made it in the NFL or low end starters/backups like Case Keenum. Even on a young guy those injuries start adding up. NYCskinfan82 03-06-2020, 10:36 AM He reminds me of Chad Pennington his body won't hold up great arm sees the field great intelligence. I know CP's arms wasn't great but ok/good. MTK 03-06-2020, 10:42 AM Doesn't always translate to the NFL but time will tell. No doubt the draft is a crapshoot but right now Burrow is the clear #1 QB prospect and it’s well deserved coming off the season he had Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Buffalo Bob 03-06-2020, 11:00 AM He reminds me of Chad Pennington his body won't hold up great arm sees the field great intelligence. I know CP's arms wasn't great but ok/good. I just looked him up. I can't believe he is 43 years old and last played 10 years ago. I thought he had only been gone a couple years, seems the older I get the faster time flies. EdmundDorf 03-06-2020, 11:19 AM I was thinking that trading down does provide one benefit from a QB perspective..... if it involves a 1st rounder next year we would likely have two 1st in the top 10/15 which gives the team a year to look at DH and if they dont like what they are seeing they will have the ammunition to trade up next year for a premier prospect.... just a thought |
