The fact that he hasn't come out and said "Dwayne is our guy" makes it seem like he's on the fence... Could be a smokescreen, could be motivation for DH.. We will see come draft night MTK 03-10-2020, 03:19 PM It all boils down to RR, does he really believe in DH as his franchise QB? Taking Tua makes no sense to me if you are going to dump DH, I would rather take the trade down option and go for a QB next year Agreed. By all accounts, Chase Young is a generational defensive talent. I just don't see RR letting that go by him. Give DH a shot this year to show what he's got. If he can't cut it, then you see about going all in on trying to snag your QB of the future. Trevor Lawrence at Clemson and Justin Fields at Ohio State will lead the QB list for the 2021 draft. But there will be others that emerge like Joe Burrows did this past year. Or .... maybe ... we get lucky and draft Jalen Hurts this year, and maybe he turns out to be our QB of the future. Give me Chase Young this year, and let's elevate our D-Line to elite status. skinsfaninok 03-10-2020, 05:00 PM He hasn’t said anything yet because he doesn’t have to. Why show your hand now? In fact one of the first things he said was "we will look at all options" That doesn't sound like a guy all in on his guy. It's def something to watch in the next month mooby 03-10-2020, 05:16 PM That's fair but usually you see more backing for your 1st rd QB.. Let's go. $100 that Dwayne Haskins will still be our first string qb after draft night. skinsfaninok 03-10-2020, 05:18 PM Lol mooby I'm just not so sure, I won't bet on anything in the NFL anymore. In terms of ability maybe Tua is too. But his injury history is already sending up red flags. You have a potential generational talent and everyone's #1 player in the draft or a guy that might be a franchise QB or another RG3. I say you go where there is a higher degree of certainty and take Young. As said, if Haskins isn't the guy, then you draft QB again next year, but in the meantime you will have a defensive linchpin in place. And you won't have let him go to the Giants. skinsfan69 03-10-2020, 08:42 PM What was so impressive is his wins against extremely quality opponents and defenses. Also, he played in an NFL style offense. This is the schedule he dominated: @Texas Florida Auburn @Alabama - rewatch that game. my god the poise. Georgia neutral field Oklahoma neutral field Clemson Who didn't he play in college football this year? What is true about Tua this past season...everytime he played...everytime...the announcers always talked about how much he hobbled around the field...always talking about how injured Tua was. The writing is on the wall...completely negligent to take him at 2 And yet he still had 33 td's and only 3 ints, 71% completion hobbling around... lol. But I'm you on Tua. I don't think the Skins should take him but they still have to think about it. They still have to do their due diligence. |
