Two ankle and one hip surgery already, even with the evolving rules protecting QBs I doubt his body holds up long in the NFL. Even on a young guy those injuries start adding up.

I was day dreaming for a few days about drafting Tau; now seeing all the injury stuff, PASS.

Just get Young and be done.

I was thinking that trading down does provide one benefit from a QB perspective..... if it involves a 1st rounder next year we would likely have two 1st in the top 10/15 which gives the team a year to look at DH and if they dont like what they are seeing they will have the ammunition to trade up next year for a premier prospect.... just a thought

Nothing wrong with your reasoning, IMHO. Still, if we can't get the appropriate return on the #2 pick, then I think we'll draft draft Chase Young.

Cincy has been known to surprise in past drafts so in my mind I keep going back to "What if the Bengals draft Chase Young #1"? The resulting bidding for our #2 pick could get so outrageous that I can't imagine what we might be able to get for it. So, I just tell myself "Nah, that won't happen" and put it out of mind.

Absolutely, my price for not taking CY would be x2 1st and a 2nd this year and a 1st next. Taking Tua makes no sense to me if you are going to dump DH, I would rather take the trade down option and go for a QB next year

If Tua was the top QB prospect I'd say them taking Young wouldn't be all that crazy. But passing on Burrow would be insane. They have to take him.

The fans in Cincy will murder the GM if he doesn’t take Burrows after the season he had.

We can’t give up on Haskins when his last two games were ELITE. If Haskins sucks this year then we draft a QB to challenge him in NEXT years draft.

Exactly right. Statistically 1.6% of college players are good enough make it to the NFL. I cannot imagine when bigger/faster/stronger NFL defensive players start taking aim at Tua as compared to college player . Every player that goes from College to pros always says the physical toll as the biggest change. More games.
