Yeah, its definitely going to be real weird at 1st. Which is lame because going out to eat, grab some beers, and catch a game is at the top of the lists of things I enjoy doing.

The fall out from this is going to get a lot worse as people's habits change. A lot of businesses that weathered the initial storm won't survive the collateral damage.
About the only thing I changed spending wise is staying out of chain grocery stores, because the way people act, the hoarding, people that freak out when someone gets in their space, etc, etc. The mom & pop stores around me are business as usual, not that crowded and adding items as demand dictates.
Most are stocked up better than they were pre-pandemic.
I have to drive further and make more stops and of course prices are higher. I may keep that behavior for a long time.

Yeah, it really is hard to imagine people going back inside to eat in a restaurant for a very long time. That was on my list of things that i imagined would be permanently changed / lost, along with movie theaters, amusement parks, etc., due to people's fear.
I do believe that this virus isn't the "Big One", but it will be the one that changes the way we live our life forever. We will get used to the "new normal" and people as always will exist and find a way, but i think a lot of the "old way" will be gone forever.

Meet someone online and have to test them before they come inside? 🤣😂
htownskinfan 05-12-2020, 07:30 PM I was just talking about this to my buddy this morning. Not only do they wear masks in Asian countries when they aren't feeling well, they wear them in public areas commonly, just as part of their culture. One thing i think changes permanently among Americans, is that we wear masks in public from now on. I would think at some point in malls and stuff, that wearing masks is a permanent requirement.
I would bet a million bucks this isnt permanent but among a very few amount of people, hell were in the middle of a frickin pandemic and here in Houston since things have started opening I would say it's 50-50 on mask wearing.
Now if the shit hits the fan and the Country shuts down again, then maybe people will get the message, but I still doubt it would make it permanent.
At my place of employment{Independently owned retail store}the owners are having the 3 salespeople wear mask when waiting on customers, but if it gets busy and the owners have to wait on someone they rarely put a mask on,and as soon as customers leave everyones mask come off and theres no social distancing.Up until today I was only one still wearing my mask full time but today I said screw it,it's not gonna do any good if no one else is doing it.
They all think I'm nuts for still wearing mine:censored:
What I dont understand is the owners just lost all this business, took out loan and kept paying us yet they dont want to wear mask or care because they dont believe the virus is that bad{for healthy person} and the mask are uncomfortable,so here we are spreading it around as much as possible just hastening the return of another shutdown which would most likely put us out of bizness, doesnt make sense to me

Even if she tests clean she could be carrying germs on her exterior body or clothes. Just have her strip naked in your garage, put her clothes in the wash machine and then hit the shower. You will have to watch to make sure she cleans herself properly. Of course most would think that is going too far on a first date, but we all must be safe, that has to be the new normal.
Giantone 05-12-2020, 08:10 PM This will have to end soon, solitary confinement is considerd an inhuman form of imprisonment. I know it's a joke but does have a little truth in it.

Any time I have had to venture past the mom and pop stores into larger cities for business supplies it seems to me things are just as crowded as ever as a whole. Fredricksburgh Va, is just as crowded as ever and then some. Traffic on HWY 95 does seem lighter.

At times. Rt 1 up around Quantico always seems a bit busy.
