The thing about Brunell believe it or not i want him to succeed. But he has to be smarter with the ball not just throwing it up for grab like he did on sunday or against the titan when we had a minute to go. Against dallas on the goal line when we were in FG range throwing the interception to williams. Against TB in the playoffs when we're running out the clock and he throw the interception across his body and across the field. As a vet i expect him to be smarter than the way he plays sometime. Cant he run for a first down once in a while instead of throwing ball away or maybe step up in the pocket like NFL QB does instead of backing up and throwing or rolling into a sack that all.,

i don't find it offensive at all...on the contrary, I was very pleased that he seemed to stretch the field in the first half, etc. very pleased. I would argue Mark Brunell set the bar so low with his performances throughout most of his tenure as a skin...objectively speaking his numbers here have been less than stellar- for a non project QB (as has his record).Fair enough. Your point is very objective, although a bit undefended. Heres why:

This year his numbers have been stellar. People have made excuses for his numbers, usually fairly subjective reasoning, but then act like these excuses completely dismiss his numbers. Like the short easy passes explain the massive jump in completion %, but then seem to directly conflict the jump in yards per attempt. No one to date has been able to explain the jump in MB's yards per attempt because theres an assuption (an incorrect one) that he never throws deep.

Fair enough. The INT against Dallas was awful. But I think sometimes the smart play is no play at all

I care because they are my team. I want to win. This team is not built to win. Campbell going to be great where the proof of that. I hope your right about him but i have my doubts. It might seem to you i bash every move they make is becasue they make so many stupid moves that it kills any good moves we make. Two step forward and three steps back.

I think the assumption that he doesn't throw deep has some legitimacy towards it. I think it was my homie tafkas that released the deep ball spread sheet, I'll look for it in a second.

He is however looking better as of late. That extra weak of rest definitly helped him out. He doesn't play well injured ever, and I think he's looking pretty sharp now.

Two step forward and three steps back.

We come together 'cause opposites attract! Sigh...paula!

Seriously though. I'd find it hard to care about something that's inevitably going to fail. Which is what I think is what you think. Unless I'm mistaken. From what I've seen of Campbell in college and in the preseason games I just really like the fact that each time I see him getting better. I think he picks up on his mistakes and works on them. A lot of guys plateau early, I think JC has a huge growth curve.

One last thing then i have to go to bed. What has Little Danny done really to show there light at the end of the tunnell. He fooled me and us in 2000, fired a good coach in 2001 and hired the ball coach and didnt give him a gm. We all love Gibbs but i hate seeing his legacy go down with this terd. Unfortually Gibbs has got caught up in this spending frenzy and its going to kill us. I expected more from Gibbs on the FA. That why until Danny get a real football man we wont be able to win. As a smart business man you would think that Little Danny would figure that out by now. But hey he keeps making money so i guess that matter more than Championships. I've been fooled by the skins in FA since it started. I'm in the show me mode now prove me wrong please. Hail to the skins

Brunell did his job - plain and simple. Didn't play outstanding but better than past weeks.

Key is that we won, that's all that matters to me.
