Comparing Brunell to Manning is like comparing my manhood to Ron Jeremys. You'll only end up being embarrased.

Brunell bashing after that win today is just stupid. Plain stupid.

If Campbell played and put up the same stat line we'd be crowning him as the king of DC.

Give it a rest bashers... seriously.

Let's just enjoy the win, it was a great one. I really don't want to spend this week discussing the same tired ass shit.

I didn't read every thread so forgive me if this has been mentioned already. I think that Moss being out forced Saunders and Brunell to get the ball to LLoyd (who became a Redskin today) and also Thrash (who can still play) which made the offense look a lot better. We also now know that Cooley can be a threat over the middle in this offense. I think, especially on third downs, they were leaning too much on Santana.

What was great was the fact that Parcells was telling the NYT that the Redskins were now "horizontal" and they came out and were very "vertical" in their passing game. Thrash caught a couple right over the middle. I think Cooley did too, plus a drop. LLoyd had one. They need to at least try those looks every week. I'm talking about those 18 yard type throws.

Finally I voted great, although I would say he was between "good" and "great" in actuality. I rounded up for two reasons. No picks (although there were a couple close calls) and he had so much zip on his passes today. If you are determined to hate Brunell you can find things to hate about his play today, but an objective analysis has to say he was at least above average.

If I were a hater, I would be focusing on his inabilty to make plays on the move. He's still agile enough to buy time with his feet, but he doesn't do a lot with it. Case in point was the 3rd down where it looked like he could have run for it but threw it incomplete. Somebody should have been open at some point because that play took a while to develop. It surprises me that he is actually better standing in the pocket because I always think of him as a Steve Young type. At any rate he made the needed throws and he keeps his job a while longer, so all the haters may as well pipe down because we've heard all your tired ass arguments and Campbell will stay on the bench another week.

And, it may have appeared that Lloyd was open after his collision with Sellars, but trust me, that's not a pass you want your quarterback to throw. Sellars would have been wide open, but he went ass over elbows and Brunell had to eat it.

The fumble was somebody's fault but it's not clear whose. Could be Brunell, could be Rabach.

Romo is going to be a pain in the ass for years to come. Hopefully he has some massive unexposed weakness because he looked like Staubach today.

Sean Taylor is the best fumble-returner in the history of the league.

Arch is an embarrasment. They may as well start planning a way to dump him, even if it costs money because now he's costing us money and games.

I thought several Redsklins had their best games of the year:

Brandon Lloyd - I'm starting to believe in him. Previuosly I thought him
soft.
Ladell Betts - He had some big 3rd down conversions.

Carlos Rogers - Tackled well today.

Kenny Wright - Broke up some passes.

James Thrash - I would like to see him get some more balls.

I think we should add another option to the poll... good.

I don't think he played great, but he did play good. Good enough to help win the game.

What is so hard about my point? NO ONE IS COMPARING PEYTON MANNING TO MARK BRUNELL.

Todays YPA numbers were better than you would expect from the best QB in the NFL. That's my point. Better than ANYONE's average.

Roethlisberger's YPA today is off the hook right now. No one is going to confuse him for Peyton either.

The difference? Brunell wasn't picked twice. And we won.

what a wacked poll. there's nothing between Great and Average? like....Good?
i'll say he was Great today, FOR HIM.

he FINALLY took some real shots down the middle of the field, and i really think that new and unexpected dimension (again, for him) made us competitive enough for the win.

Brunell had a good game today. I thought he played a pretty decent game. Anyone complaining today should be shot on sight.
