turning smith into an olb isn't the greatest idea i've ever heard. turner is just what the falcons need. a guy that can break tackles and make plays... with norwood as the #2, this might mean mcfadden ain't the guy the falcons want, which is good, cause long, long, ellis, or possibly ryan could probably make a bigger impact for them.

The Associated Press reports Houston Texans DT Cedric Killings (neck) said Thursday, Feb. 28, he will retire from the NFL after breaking his neck during the 2007 season. His injury wasn't expected to have lingering effects, but doctors told him he would be a high risk for permanent paralysis if he returned to the field.

Browns | Anderson rejects contract offer

The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns QB Derek Anderson has rejected the team's offer for a three-year contract worth $20 million with $10 million guaranteed. Anderson is now a restricted free agent and on the free-agent market. If Anderson signs with another team, the Browns would receive a first- and third-round draft pick as compensation.

If I'm the Vikings, I would definitely consider giving up a 1st and a 3rd for Anderson.

I could see the Dolphins offering their 2nd (32nd pick, essentially a 1st) and a 4th or a pick next year for him. They probably have the worst QB situation in the NFL.

I heard yesterday that they are actually high on developing Beck and will likely go with him. But they'll probably look to add a veteran for insurance.
