Jesus.. STFU about new coaches and QB's and try to act like loyal Redskin fans for once? Let's just see what ahppens this season, or atleast wait till we've played more then 2 games before we start calling for heads.

What the hell is wrong with some of you? lol

There's nothing wrong with us. Three field goals is what's wrong. We're loyal enough to get on a message board because we're hardcore Redskin fans. How many other fans know the entire lineup and depth of their team?

The time for stacking O-line men was years ago. If Zorn does get the boot then I say Vinny should too. I watched the Giants and Girls play last night. Watching the girls run on NJ just made my angry. Why can't we do that?

If we have to blow it up then blow it up. Nothing I've seen so far suggests that we'll not. Nothing short of the playoffs will stop this IMO.

No disrespect to Portis, but what this team has been lacking is a player like Michael Bush (Raiders) or Jacobs who can play smashmouth football and shove the ball down peoples throat.

Who's that big corn fed boy they've got in Denver? He's a beast. I'd like to see them draft some o-linemen and get a FB/RB beast runner in the 4th or
5th like Jacobs. How we can have a serious run game with out a change of back RB and a good O is beyond me? If you can't run for three yards on the goal line then you don't have a good run team, at least when you need it the most.

Ok, I am as irritated as everyone else. BUT Zorn has only called plays for 1 full season, and he has shown he can be gutsy/creative. I don't imagine it is as easy as he thought it would be, but let's give this guy a chance. I think the next 5 games will be his watershed moment. He either steps up to the plate, and demonstrates that he "gets it", or we let one more season slip away, and start with a clean slate at Coach/QB next year.

I think Zorn likes to see a "kill shot" call, and then when/if it fails he doesn't reload, but instead retreats to the run. The only way to get past this, is with practice and time actually calling offenses against live NFL Defenses.

I think/hope he will get it and we will rock on. Time will tell for sure.

I wanted to see Zorn turn right around and run that first play again to see if JC could hit him the second time. Heck, it would not bother me if they just kept going long until they finally hit a big play.

So then the question that many come back to is, is he taking on too much? QB Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Head Coach. He has Chris Meidt helping him with the QBs but Meidt has even less NFL experience than Zorn.

Technically, Sherman Smith is the OC (first time in his career), but his job is to work on crafting the game plan during the week. Come Game Day, it's Zorn's show. Should it be Sherman Smith's show? Should it be like it is in Baltimore where OC Cam Cameron basically calls the plays on game day and John Harbaugh (who like Zorn never called plays before last year) make the head coach decisions, such as when to go for it on 4th down?

For Zorn to relinquish playcalling control would be sending a message to Snyder that he can't do what he was originally hired to do. I don't see Zorn giving up like that.

Gibbs gave it up, why can't Zorn?

Gibbs was humble, admitted his mistakes, and wanted to do whatever it took to win. Zorn is not humble, blames the players for not executing on his bonehead playcalls, and realizes this is the only chance he'll ever have to call plays, so he's not gonna give it up.

In my opinion, Snyder should call Holmgren and see if he wants the HC job. He's familair with the offense and the terminology and could step right in and call plays. If Holmgren was agreeable, i'd offer to let Zorn stay on as a Offensive Coordinator/QB coach, but we need someone else, with experience in this system, calling plays. If Holmgren isnt intersted, then sticking with Zorn is the best option, because we dont have anything better in-house.

Maybe so, my problem at this point is that this season is basically Campbells make or break, so throwing another coordinator at the problem just seems doomed to failure. Basically, I am "content" with letting JZ/Campbell sail down this sea together, either they make it work, or we say sayonara. That way no coach we may bring in feels like Danny gave JZ an unfair ride, and they are not tied to Campbell.

And if they do get it together, like Theissman and JG1 after the 0-5 start, then we will all be very happy fans.

Simple -- one guy's name is Joe Gibbs, and the other guy is Jim Zorn.
