Those people are more than likely scalpers who want to try and turn a buck off of it.

Regardless, these consoles will end up in someone's hands by xmas.

Also, they don't tell you how many actually were sold. For all we know, it could be 50.....or 500.

Also, Microsoft is just making it easy for the Sony marketing team.

I doubt Amazon's stock was 50 units or even just 500. Come on now.

Also keep in mind PS is golden for selling base models then by the time you start adding stuff too it the Xbox seems like the better deal.

Most likely not, but I'm just pointing out that selling out doesn't really mean anything unless quantitative information is pointed out.

Exactly and others agree with you:

Didn't the Zune and Surface Pro also sell out immediately? Microsoft stuff always seems to be in so much demand it sells out 100% of its stock.
Or the headline makes it looks like you need to buy it now or you won't be able to get it later. Don't think about it, weigh up your options and make an informed decision because you will miss out! Buy Now! You won't regret it because lots of people must have got it already! 100% is a big number.
"Microsoft wouldn't say how many units that pre-order allocation is."
I wonder why. It must be so many hundreds of thousands they don't want to embarrass anyone with their success. Please, If the number was significant they'd be screaming it from the rooftops. This is likely just another case of intentionally limited supply to make demand seem exaggerated, or did they have millions of units ready with "Day One 2013" printed on the controllers already?

This says a lot. A mere game passed Xbox one in Amazon sales...lol

I thought this info was useless just a few posts ago? Does comparing a $60 game to a $500 console really say much?
