Mechanix544 04-15-2011, 10:26 AM Ive said it before and I will say it again, Locker is going to be a star no matter where he goes. MTK 04-15-2011, 10:36 AM After watching the Gruden QB camp, I came away impressed with Locker, more than I thought I would at least. I don't follow college ball much so my firsthand knowledge of him is pretty limited. But he seems like a tough kid, a natural leader, and he's got an impressive athletic skill set. Son Of Man 04-15-2011, 12:21 PM I've gone back and forth on it, but I think I'd like them to pull the trigger on Locker at 10. From what I've seen of him, he could be a total superstar (or a total flop). A safer pick is probably Ponder. But, and I think I've mentioned it before, I see Ponder as the safe pick. But I think if you're taking a QB early you're going for the superstar. In my opinion it's basically go big or go home. Locker could totally blow up in their face. But I say go for it. Of course if they could move down to get him that'd be great, but the could put a little wrench in that...and that's why no free agency and no trades sucks Locker isn't a reach at 10 if he turns into a Franchise QB for the next 12-15 years! Love this post!!! Son Of Man 04-15-2011, 12:24 PM After watching the Gruden QB camp, I came away impressed with Locker, more than I thought I would at least. I don't follow college ball much so my firsthand knowledge of him is pretty limited. But he seems like a tough kid, a natural leader, and he's got an impressive athletic skill set. Seems like he had a lot of responsibilities at the line of scrimmage in the Huskies' offense. No reason to think he won't work out here. Also, seems he has the same knocks as Cutler but with more athleticism and all the intangibles you could want. I may not work out, but I really hope we get this guy! SOUL-SKINS 04-15-2011, 12:25 PM Hmmm. I was pulling for Quinn in the first but I'm warming up to J Jones at 10 and J Locker via trading up in the first to het him. He won't be there at #41. Let's build chemistry between them as early as possible. In the 5th thru 7th rounds go all D. gridironcharlie 04-15-2011, 03:07 PM I agree lets get Locker a locker with the team skinsfaninok 04-15-2011, 06:01 PM I'd say Locker is the most ready To play QB in this draft. Dirtbag59 04-15-2011, 06:02 PM I say we hurry up and wait. With Grossman as this teams best option at QB Shanahan will surely be fired in a year or two. Then we can open the door and bring back Vinny Anyway, I don't care if it's Locker, Dalton, Ponder, or V Young. Just get someone with promise. Give me someone that at least has upside. Lotus 04-15-2011, 06:09 PM I'd say Locker is the most ready To play QB in this draft. Disagree. Locker needs mechanics and footwork work to overcome his problems in the pocket. I think that Ponder, with his experience in a pro style offense and his intelligence, is more plug-and-play. Lotus 04-15-2011, 06:10 PM Curious rumor.
