Arizona RB Tim Hightower traded to Redskins.EARTHQUAKE2689 07-31-2011, 11:30 PM Thank you Your welcome. EARTHQUAKE2689 07-31-2011, 11:31 PM I never took advantage of that, although I used to take advantage every year of turning the trade deadline off and then trading my picks for a horrible teams' picks at the end of the year so I could draft whoever I wanted. Oh you cheater. mooby 07-31-2011, 11:34 PM Oh you cheater. Psh that wasn't even the worst of it. Back in the day on the PS2 I used to turn offsides off so I could get a head start on my pass rush. All my LB's and D-linemen used to average like 20 sacks every season haha. I'd do that today if they hadn't changed it so you can't. And nowadays I don't even trade for the first overall pick anymore. I trade relatively 3-5 spots ahead of where the player I want is predicted to be drafted, that way I don't have to pay a player like a first overall pick. tryfuhl 07-31-2011, 11:37 PM Psh that wasn't even the worst of it. Nowadays I take whoever I'm pass rushing with and give him a little space on my side of the LOS so he can get a running start before he tries to get past the o-linemen. dblanch66 07-31-2011, 11:46 PM Can't confirm this so don't read into it too much, but I think Beck's rating will be around a 67 in this year's Madden. Enjoy. Beck may not even start. If he does, I have to defer to the "savoir faire" (there ya go smooty :cheeky-sm) of the Shanny's. Jury is still out on this whole QB thing. GusFrerotte 07-31-2011, 11:48 PM well, back when they still had a pc version (08?) you could cut all your draft picks (not sign them) and then get them the first day of FA at stupid stupid low prices (like 70% off), or switch their position and then sign them long term before switching them back... Madden is full of cheese. Yeah that was the last year for good PC sports games. EA still has FIFA, but past '09 they have it in the Xbox configuration, which is hard to master on a pc. I missed being the Skins in franchise mode and actually winning multiple superbowls with my cpu generated draft picks. skins89moss 08-01-2011, 02:02 AM I like the trade for Hightower for Vonnie. 1.Hightower is still young and has been productive on a very bad run blocking team in the Cardinals. 2.He runs hard and is durable. 3.He can catch the ball out of the backfield and pass block. 4. He will push ATV for the starting job. 5. He has the most experience out of any back on the roster. Vonnie is a good locker room guy but his best days are behind him so and we give up a 6th rd pick for a proven NFL back. WIN WIN for US HTTR Shadowbyte 08-01-2011, 03:51 AM What a great pick up. This guy has the game-breaking speed I've been clamoring for. I can't remember the last time we had a complete back who could take it to the house on any play. davy 08-01-2011, 06:22 AM "Hightower wore thin on the Cardinals coaching staff with five fumbles in back-to-back seasons. Though he's a reliable pass-catcher, Hightower has been one of the least effective backs with the ball in hands, failing to top 7.0 yards per reception since entering the league in 2008." Fabulous. |
