"I sympathize with Jay Gruden. Gruden came out and pointed out, which is right, that he has no mechanics. He is a terrible passer, has no accuracy, he doesn't understand the offense, he doesn't read defenses, and he has no discipline. When he is supposed to take a 3-yard drop, he takes a 1-yard drop; if he is supposed to take a 5-yard drop, it's a 3-yard drop. There's no discipline and understanding of the defense because he is a pontificator. He will never make it. He will be out of football. Man, this last paragraph is......what Griffen needs to hear.
There is still a chance he can turn his career around if he just swallowed his pride and took the time to learn his craft as an NFL QB. I think because of the success he had his rookie year, he does not have the patience or humility to do it. It is what is holding him back.

BTW, to pontificate is to talk in a dogmatic and pompous manner. To pontificate properly, you need to be a know-it-all with very strong opinions and the urge to share them. I looked it up.

Is it possible that Griffin cannot learn it? People can spend all of eternity wanting to learn a craft, and never be able to master it.
He is not the only physically gifted QB that cannot cut it in the NFL. There are literally thousands of others. His phyisical ability has helped him achieve alot but maybe he just does not have it inside him to be a great nfl qb.
There are varying opinions as to the time he puts in, and who knows what is true. I just dont buy the fact that if he showed up to work today and said, "Jay I want to dedicate every waking moment to becoming a great pocket passer in the NFL" that abra cadabra - he will be one eventually. You either have it inside of you, or you do not. Drive, determination, and athletic ability does not mean that you can automatically become a great NFL QB.

Everyone loved Gruden's approach to the media when before the games started. Now that we are losing, everyone want to throw him under and look for the next man in. I see people shouting for fucking Art Briles on twitter. It's a fucking joke right now.

Yup, its amazing. If we were winning it would be all about Grudens attitude. Lol
I still say that if Gruden had been allowed to go with his choice at QB and DC we would have a few more wins at this point. Couple his hands being tied with the shitshow he inherited, no cap money, and no first round pick and effin Houdini couldnt find his way out.

I still like Gruden, and think we are good with him. He doesn't hide behind the curtain. Snyder is an issue, but I also believe the whole Synder thing is blown out of proportion. The owner for the Pats does just as much as Snyder, but the difference is.. They win because they have great scouting and talent eval team. We might have one of the worse in football.

Look at Jerry Jones. He is down on the sidelines, he is the self appointed GM. This year they are winning, and nobody has a problem with it.

Exactly.. Winning solves everything. I think Colt can win a lot of games for us if we focus on the O-Line and a Safety in the offseason. I would even trade Garcon and try to get a 2nd-3rd for him.

Maybe grab a Late round QB if one is available or bring in Bradford for competition in the offseason.
