Reminded me a LOT of Morris. Even when nothing was there, he still got 1-2 yards just by falling forward.

He just looks more the part in a McC-style offense.

Jones dancing too much and not being physical. Trying to juke when he isn't that dude.

I think Joe said something like he runs more violent...which I rather have in the backfield. And I think McC rather have (Gore, Beastmode) that style too.

It felt like Kelly was going to eventually pop one for a big gain, he didn't but I liked his 3 yards and a cloud of dust style.

Jones has got to stop dancing and run more decisively. He's too soft at times.

Agree, but also he needs to hold on to the ball more than anything.

I watched the Redskins/Bengals game again last night. Our team was competitive. That's all we can really ask is that they are trying to win. This coaching staff is clueless....but the players came to play..... I'm not at all mad at Dustin Hopkins for missing the late FG attempt.

The only thing I would of changed. Is after the timeout by Marvin Lewis. I would of put my offense back out there like I was going to run a play now and try to lure defense offsides. Worse thing that happens is you call a timeout and put Hopkins back out there just to break the ice.

Chances are you wont draw them off, and than you are in essence icing the kicker yourself. I dont think it breaks the ice i think it thickens it. Just a longer time to think about it.
But hey in retrospect anything different seems good. Lol. Ill never get that kick out of my head. I know it was not the super bowl but it was London. Different type of football sunday - up early. Only game on. It was right before the bye so you get two weeks of victory celebration. Damn.

Kelley got tough yards consistently. I felt like he was about to rip a long run off too.

Even with 2 straight 3 yard gains, you only have a 3rd & 4....and the 'skins have lots of plays for that.

This team MUST RUN the ball more. I know McVay has a great passing game plan, but I felt like we were starting to tire Cincy out,but we didn't stay committed.

Once a defense tires, that's when the big plays usually happen...a broken tackle or a defender who's just a step slow to react.

Now that they know what they have in Kelly, I'd love to see them rotate in a fresh Mack Brown & start overwhelming defenses.

Just think about the play action fakes that would open up.

Ill take 400 in the air n 100 on the ground all game every game. Its all about the RZ. Thats where we need to figure something out. We had big plays. We dont need big plays in the RZ.

I know you keep dwelling on the kick, but seriously, it should never have come down to needing that kick.

We marched up and down the field on them....over 500 yards of offense and only 27 points.

I sure as heck hope our coaches are re-examining their red zone offense.
1 TD in 4 tries inside the RZ (25%) won't win many games.

To me, that continues to be the biggest failing so far this year & hopefully the bye week will help get the proper focus on it.

McVay (and/or Gruden) need more help with their Red Zone play selection.

You are 100 % correct. I was really just referring to Buckets strategy after the timeout. Yes i wanted Hopkins head on a platter. Totally over it. Of course no game is decided on one play. A million things could have changed the outcome of that game. Our RZ offense being number one like you mentioned. It is nothing short of mind numbing terrible.

Jones has got to stop dancing and run more decisively. He's too soft at times.I've favored Rob to start since he is a much more instinctive runner, but hopefully his threat to take the job will compel Jones to run with far greater urgency and decisiveness.
