In our division, by winning % we are in last place now.
I'm actually rooting for the Eagles tonight. Still going for 1st place.
We have same amount of wins as NYG and Phi and we beat both

We can still make the playoffs, but we need to learn to finish drives. This red zonecurse needs to be exorcised!

I'm not worried because it can change in a week, but look at the standings. We're in last place right now. You have to actually be tied with someone to have the tie breaker.

If you have 4 wins in 8 games, and another team has 4 wins in 7 games, they're ahead of you.
One of my best buddies is a Vikings fan, if I had to pick a non division game to win, that would be the one.

We have left:
Vikes (home)
Packers (home)
Dallas (away)
AZ (away)
Philly (away)
Carolina (home)
Chicago (away)
NYG (home)
None of these teams is a sure win or loss (Chicago might be the closest thing -- we ought to hammer them), and Carolina, Green Bay, and Arizona aren't looking as scary as they did at the start of the season. But we still haven't put together a complete game, and until we do, we will have at best mixed results against these teams. Honestly, I could see us doing anything between 2-6 and 6-2 (I don't see us doing much worse or better than that) -- and the best case puts us right on the edge of the playoff picture.
Losing (or failing to win) games that you were in until the end (Lions, Bengals, Cowboys) really hurts. The really good teams find ways to win most of those. We're just not there yet.
I feel like we'll finish 8-7-1 and that tie will haunt us.

I think so too. 8-7-1 or 9-6-1 is my next guess.
Hopkins has to make that kick. I typed that right as the Chargers kicker pulled a Hopkins. FG kickers are pudding soft except for like 3 of them.
I'm in SD so they're my AFC team.

But if we finish over .500 and miss the playoffs I won't love it, but it would still be a positive step. 2 straight years over .500 for us is good. I think next year is when we become dangerous. We have extra picks and a nice salary cap situation. Next year I think we go legit. 10 + wins in 2017.
Although I predicted 11-5 this year. We'd have to win 7 of 8 now to get to 11. So I could just be John Denver, full of shit.

I agree, but throw Chicago in there too. We can beat 95% of teams and lose to 100% of teams if we don't bring it.
