I see. So they are preserving the bridge for the allies. I would have blown it up and saved my fighters.
And you wouldn't have lasted long in the army!

I was thinking about it days after I saw it....the mark of a good movie. And a great soundtrack too by Eddie Vedder. We rec'd Marley and Me today from Blockbuster. I'm not going to cry...not going to do it. jsarno 05-05-2009, 03:47 PM "I am Legend" made me choke up when he strangled his dog. Oh man...forgot about that. I can watch all sorts of grusome things on TV, nothing makes me flinch...but I HAD to turn away when that happened. It haunted my dreams after I watched it, now it's going to again. It made me like the movie less and I never watched it again, just like I'll NEVER watch Marley and Me again. MTK 05-05-2009, 03:52 PM That was a good movie. I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks (if not months) afterward. And each time I thought about it my reaction to the movie was more intense. The way it end just haunts you, probably the most powerful ending to a movie ever (near the top is The Ice Storm) jsarno 05-05-2009, 04:06 PM One of the best movies I've ever seen. The way it end just haunts you, probably the most powerful ending to a movie ever (near the top is The Ice Storm) Well, the writers definitely did a good job making it memorable. Certainly a powerful movie. I don't think I ever saw The Ice Storm. Who is in that? (don't tell me the ending just in case...cause i might want to see it now) SmootSmack 05-05-2009, 04:11 PM Well, the writers definitely did a good job making it memorable. Certainly a powerful movie. The Ice Storm is an Ang Lee film starring Kevin Kline, Sigourney Weaver, Joan Allen, Cris Cooper, Elijah Wood, Cristina Ricci, Tobey Maguire, and Katie Holmes. 70Chip 05-05-2009, 04:28 PM The writers did do a good job, but of course they had real-life material to work with. The Ice Storm is a great film, but I couldn't have shed a tear for any of those characters. They were all so smug. I felt relieved for the kid that he didn't have to be around them anymore. Well at the risk of further giving it away, I wouldn't say the ending makes you cry it's more like "I can't believe it ends like that" I kept thinking there must be another scene coming up CRedskinsRule 05-05-2009, 04:49 PM That was a good movie.
