I'm just throwing things around. We've got to upgrade the QB position and I don't see a can't miss prospect coming out in the draft.
I'm not sure which two guys you were talking about though
And how does Colt remind you of Shuler?
I'm watching Colt's game from last weekend right now, just watched Snead earlier today. I like Colt's presence more, but Snead has the better arm in my opinion

It's going to be a long season when we're talking draft before our 8th game. Sigh...
Hey, we need more picks as a team. There are too many holes. Anyway, we can get picks, we need them, barring doing any stupid. I'm not opposed to a QB first although we do need multiple lineman.
I guess hopefully this will be up to our new GM and coach. Hopefully, we'll have a guy that comes in and does it their way as opposed to the owners way.
Clausen looks like he can play imo. Bradford has impressed scouts but I really haven't seen much of him. He could slide due to his injury. He won't be able to do the combine, workouts, etc.

Clausen if he's there without having to trading up. If not, take Okung and then another OL (Black from LSU?) in the second. QB will have to come through FA / trade until 2011.

So Clausen or bust as far as college QBs for you?

You could just replace "Bulger" with "Campbell" and the argument fits just as well.
We'd still have to fix the obvious issues with the offense before you could sap one ounce of Bulgers talent, and at that point, you're still not getting anything you wouldn't have with Campbell.[/QUOTE]
Exactly! You can't expect ANY quarterback to do any better than Campbell's done with the current O-line situation. How can you even evaluate a performance when all he is doing is running for his life. Fix the line problems first and then, (whether JC is here or not) plug a QB into the situation. If I were a top 5 QB in the draft, or in free agency, I would do everything I could NOT to come here.

Moss was a bit open there too.. and he was past his break
I know that you can't come up with video of every time he actually has, but it'd still be the exception

It probably makes more sense to go OL first round and then maybe QB in the second (especially with the depth there in this year's draft). And then OL again in the mid to late rounds.
But I don't see it as a total tragedy if we draft a QB first and then go OL in the 2nd
Thats kind of what the Falcons did last year and it worked out pretty well for them... I guess it would depend on what QB we selected in the first. It sure as hell had better not be Sam Bradford. I havent heard a single professional opinion of him that says he's not overrated. He has raw potential, but is 2-3 years away from starting in the league. IMO, you dont draft a QB in the first round unless you think he is atleast CAPEABLE of starting at some point in his rookie season. Project QBs should never be taken in the first.

just the thought of Campbell returning made me throw up in my mouth alittle. im not sure who to bring in. but i like the idea of bringing in a veteran, to give the skins time to build an NFL caliber line. because what they have here now is no where close to a real offensive line. and im not seeing the same things in Clausen that alot of you guys are. can someone explain him to me?

Plus, Bradford would likely have his already possibly-fragile limbs ripped off if we don't make it top priority to get an offensive line.

analyze the whole body of work. not the best play of his career.
