In the NFL Tebow isn't faster than anyone on the field and those Gator gimmicks won't work in the pro either. I feel Bradford is more NFL ready than Tebow. If there was a chance of us drafting him I would jump all over it.

Being in Seattle, I figured you would have mentioned Jake Locker. I'd take him before any of the names coming out this year.

Bradford has a suspect shoulder now though. IF Stoops rushes the kid back in to save a BCS bid and he gets racked against say Nebraska it could be career over before it starts. Hell A&M beat the hell out of Tech last weekend, so now you have another team to worry about there possibly. I still say draft a guy under the radar. Those guys have a better shot at being something in the NFL if recent draft history matters. I have said this in previous threads. Both Tebow and Bradford play on superteams with really only maybe 2-3 teams on the schedule that have a chance to compete with them. When they come to the NFL the teams are pretty much evenly gunned, with the exception of the bottom feeders. You put those guys on a crummy team, they will fold. Can't really lose when your team is averaging over 300 yards rushing. You must have one helluva line. Bradford plays in a conference not really known for defense, so what is going to happen when he comes to a level of play where D is all important to winning and evenly matched in terms of speed with the offenses?

His age doesn't concern you? Shouldn't we go younger than that?

Why would his age concern me in terms of bringing in a veteran? He's only 32.
The way I see it, we have 4 choices, and the 4th option is piss poor.
1- Let Colt have his day.
2- Draft a top notch rookie qb.
3- Sign a veteran qb in a bad situation.
4- Let Campbell stay.

I like the idea of letting Colt have a shot, but even if we do that, we need to draft a talented rookie to back him up. My previous post speaks to my like of Colt and getting Bradford or Tebow. I like Bulger because he is someone with top notch talent and a piss poor team...worse than ours. If anyone needs a change of scenary, it's Bulger. Bulger would be my 3rd option behind Colt and a rookie QB. Who knows, we might be able to trade Campbell for Bulger straight up. Although, no one is really high on Campbell's ability. Both Steve Young and Jaws completely BLASTED Campbell's ability, and I have not heard a single knowledgable NFL ex player or GM, or coach that speaks highly of Campbell.

It fitting that you choose the word poison because drafting a QB with an early round draft pick is a mistake in my opinion.

We need our top picks for OL.

But i'll stick with your OP though....

If the Skins must draft a QB i would hope that Tebow/McCoy falls into the 2-3rd rounds.

I absolutely agree we need OL help. If we can get Tebow / McCoy in the 2nd or 3rd rounds, I'd go for that. Bradford might actually drop that far too considering his injury. We'll have to wait and see on Bradford.
Make no mistake though, we WILL be getting a new qb. Whether it will be a veteran or rookie is yet to be seen. But do you really think Collins will stick around? The odds of us drafting a QB is pretty good.

It probably makes more sense to go OL first round and then maybe QB in the second (especially with the depth there in this year's draft). And then OL again in the mid to late rounds.

But I don't see it as a total tragedy if we draft a QB first and then go OL in the 2nd

I absolutely agree with you...it's just a matter of what is available and what could be had as a bargain.

this years joe flacco is tony pike out of cincy he is injured right now but he will be a great nfl qb

I watched 1 game, and I was certainly impressed, but I can't comment further if he's just another rick mirer, or ryan leaf at this point.

I know this might be dumb...but what if we pulled a Ditka and gave away all our draft picks for someone like Peyton Manning? Would they even do it? Before you say no to the idea, keep in mind we will likely have an uncapped year and won't need the picks since we can go buck wild on free agents, our FO specialty. Bring Peyton in and let him pick which WR's he wants to work with. Of course this is a pipe dream, but do you think that would even be possible? Would you even do it?
(for the record, for the best QB of all time, I'd do it. Peyton is the best ever, or damn close to best ever.)

analyze the whole body of work. not the best play of his career.

Thank you so much dude!! JC has sucked for the most part of his career and I doubt he will ever start in this league again unless it's Cleveland or something. We just need a new beginning and it's time for JC to go.

Jay, Peyton would get destroyed with our line in its present form. Samuels is probably going to retire also, maybe followed by Thomas. We also don't have the organization, or the top talent he has in Indy. He would give us a few more wins, but not a Lombardi trophy.
