I'll just say what I know everyone here is thinking..... Brett Favre :headbange

Seriously though I say finish the year with JC and improve the o-line as much as we can asap and then worry about a QB. It'd be nice to get Bradford or any of those QB's with potential but I don't see the point if we're just going to bring him here to get killed with this o-line

A guy that might be a good steal is LeFavre from Central Michigan. One hell of an athlete, great arm, etc. He is the Matt Ryan, Flacco type, in that he is totally under the radar. The big named QB's are not the ones to draft. The only ones to have panned out in the last decade are Eli and Palmer, and it took Palmer forever to get healthy or stay healthy. McCoy plays at a powerhouse, so does Bradford. They do not see real evenly matched competiton unless they play each other, Tex Tech, or Nebraska. On top of that Bradford has a glass shoulder.

OK, we all know this season is a bust, and most of us know that while Campbell is NOT the #1 problem, he is indeed a problem and needs to be replaced. If you don't feel he should be replaced, feel free to move beyond this thread...for those that do know he needs to be replaced, who would you replace him with.
Of course we would all love to have Peyton Manning, but there aren't enough first round picks in the world that could pry him away from Indy.

So who will be your poison?

Clausen?
Bradford?
Tebow?
How bout a current NFL qb in a poor situation like Marc Bulger? Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell, Jeff Garcia, and numerous others will be available, or at least available with minimal force.

(mods, feel free to post a poll)

How about that Kolb dude?

Oh Deezel you are the man. Kolb lights it up better than McNabb!!! Nice thinking!!

I wouldnt mind seeing us go after Kolb, he has experience in the WCO and did well since his Balt game. If not i just hope we build the Oline in the draft and FA and hell, let CB give it a go as we transition. I dont see a QB worth our picks in the draft, we have bigger issues and JC is gone by his own choice after this season IMO. plus we also need to bring in a RB to take over for CP who has clearly lost his burst.

Campbell is going to be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in 2010... mark my words now.

a.) Why would he WANT to resign with us?
b.) SOMEBODY (Cleveland, Carolina, Oakland, etc.) will still see his potential as a starter.

He will sign somewhere else and get as far from this freak show as possible. You think, after what Snyder put him through last offseason he'd pick us over someone else??

Matter of fact... do think Snyder would allow Campbell to be our QB next year??

It is obvious... Campbell will NOT be a Redskin in fall 2010.

Wanna bet? Only way he starts next year is if the starting QB and maybe even the second strong QB of the team he's playing for next year go down to injury.

Trade JC for a 7th rounder. Cut Collins. Give Vinny a new pair of cement shoes. Bring in a Vet and rebuild the Oline with our picks. Vick anyone?

I agree with MattyK -- I think there's a possibility we're stuck with Jason Campbell next year.

Think about it - we can only have one first round pick (unless we trade for more). What would a great QB going do with our crappy O-line? Even Peyton and Brady suck when their lines break down. It may be better to sign JC for a one year extension (who else would sign him) and draft a good LT first round. Then we need a RT, C, RB. We may also need an OLB, DT, RG, MLB. There are just too many holes -- and I think JC will never take us anywhere, but he's decent enough to combat for one more year. Our offensive line is a MUCH bigger priority.

You fix the line and we may suddenly have an offense. Maybe Portis will get positive yards if he gets actually gets blocks.

Define suck? Suck to me is zero points in a half against the Chiefs. Is that the same level of suckitude as putting your team in the lead with 2 minutes to go against the Giants in the Super Bowl only to watch your Defense lose the game on the most ridiculous circus play of all time? AFTER getting pummeled the entire game?

What was Campbell's excuse after the first 4 games of this year, when he was only (YES ONLY) sacked 8 times (lower half of all starting QBs)? I can only imagine how impossible it must be to score points against the Lions when they're harassing you to the tune of 2 sacks. Take those 2 sacks away and the Skins would have put 40 on those bums. Get real, dude.

Hard to put it all on the oline when other QB's get sacked the same -Favre before last night- and Rodgers and they still put up points. For a 1st round pick i expect to see him putting this team on his back.
