I thought you were going to join the Pats fan site and drop the skins?

New England Patriots Fan Site - Patriots Planet Forums and Message Board (http://www.patriotsplanet.net/)

It would not let me sign up under mredskin, dammit!

the D got torched early and often. im not going to defend haslett but on some plays the players were in position to make a plya but didnt.

d jacks td on the first play, d hall lets him go and d jack beat landry on pure speed.

later on landry had a clean shot at a sack on vick but came up empty handed and vick went on to scramble for a good chunk.

i think some of our players get to hyped up for home MNF games.

its alot of things that went wrong, anyone on here who breaks down game film, itd like to hear what was more at fault, the D scheme or players missing tackles/assignments.

most of us thought this was an 8-8 team give or take a game. we are right around where we thought we would be at 4-5.

with mcnabb next year, things can only get better.

True and i could swear i saw London and Rocky have a change to lay the wood and they backed off. It made me sick to my stomach and i turned it off. Im tired of being devoted to an embarassment. And im gona try to pretend i didnt see that game.

I guess now we know how the Broncos felt in the SB in '87

Honestly, the most frustrating part of this is that it made me realize how many times the Skins are on the losing side of:

"______________ hasn't been done in NFL history!"
"Well that really turned the season around for player _____________."
"Record setting day for ________________!!!!!"
"Never seen anything like this in my career!"

I assume I'm like everyone else and watch football every Thursday, Sunday and Monday and never in my life have I seen a team where: some kind of record is broken, a rookie has a coming out party or a vet in a slump gets back on track.

The only Redskins NFL records I can think of in recent memory are the least yards gained in a playoff win (Yay.) and the Monday Night Miracle MAYBE. It's just SO GD frustrating. I mean my cynicism is growing to an all-time high... Randy Moss hasn't had that great of a season, maybe this week he gets back on track with 200 yards receiving and 3 TDs?

THAT, and the third down conversion was actually laughable last night. We apparently can run plays of 2-3 yards on the first two downs, but when it comes to third, it's no gain or worse...

First two statements can apply the the loss to the 2009 Detroit Lions.

It was sad funny...like watching a feeble kid try to play football (no offense to feeble kids). I've never seen our stands clear out so early.

yeah, funny in a strangely familiar way. we, as skins fan, really really put up with alot.

even in a relatively decent season for us compared to years past, the team still finds ways to make their fandom question the commitment it takes.

me and the lady met scott edwards around 11 am yesterday whose on the radio pre-game show with larry . he saw us in our skins gear and came over and talked with us for a few minutes. the man bleeds the B n G but when he started to talk bad about balmore i had to cut him off. he said during games at M&T when the wind shifts you can smell the alcohol coming from the fans. i told him that was probably me and my lady.

anyways, he said he was going to mention us on the radio. did anyone listen and hear him talk about craig and coren, a couple of "great" skins fans from baltimore that he ran into? prolly not with all the mcnabb extension stuff going on.

Okay last night was obviously bad (understatement) but lets not lose all perspective here. This was 1 single game and doesn't mean anything more than that we were outplayed by a better team. I think few people would not admit that the Eagles have more talent than the Skins do. They have drafted better and signed free agents more intelligently. I never thought this was a playoff team and I do not think Dan or the Shananhans thought it was either. We have glaring wholes on Oline and WR on offense and we need to make a lot of changes on Dline if we are going to continue the 3-4 experiment.

So my thoughts on what we should do going forward.
#1 Keep Mcnabb next year and the following to groom whoever our QB replacement is, this means no getting overly excited and demanding the backup QB play if McNabb starts stinking up the joint
#2 Trade back in draft and pick a Center or Guard first in the draft.
#3 Pick up a TALL WR damnit!!! We need a possesion WR!
#4 Get some more help in the secondary.... know everyone is high on Hall right now but other than the Bears game they have ALL been average aside from Landry
#5 Whatever happens do not get rid of Shanahan...we need some damn consistency with this franchise and that starts with the coach. If Shanahan is not the head coach in 3 years than I dont ever see Dan Snyders Redskins being anything other than a mediocre NFL team.
