They should have did this back when they saw the video months ago. They are only doing it due to the public backlash of seeing it. His wife's story didn't jive with that she instigated it.

It's still a very melancholy feeling though. Being able to say I told you so to so many people who played the 'you weren't there, you didn't see what happened' card seems like it should be more satisfying. Instead I feel rather disgusted after seeing that video.

I do believe the NFL's claim that they hadn't seen the video until recently though.

Still it was pretty obvious based on the original evidence that this offense was much worse than a 2 game ban.

indefinitely suspended Ray Rice.


These guys are such a fucking joke. They really are. Much like the NCAA on Penn State.

Before the Ray Rice saga began, who knew that we'd all be criticizing Goodell for being too lenient?

I can not believe Espn just went to a Fantasy Football guru to talk about the impact of Rice's release.

To me, the outrage over the video is somewhat naïve. I mean really, do you know the force it takes to knock someone unconscious? Even for few moments? For someone, anyone, to be turned into a sack of potatoes like the fiancé was, that takes some serious, brutal force. To me, the video is what I thought had happened. (In my younger days, I knocked guys out once or twice and each time my fist hurt like hell).

Ray Rice is NOT entitled to 2014 salary as a vested veteran. Must be on 53-man roster at season start; he was on the suspended list.

I bet those ravens fans who gave him a standing ovation at training camp and during their preseason games are feeling a little guilty right now.

When the story was first told it sounded more like he pushed her and she hit her head. That was the story Rice and his wife were saying. You can in the video see her hitting her head. Plus there wasn't a picture of her face with damage.

Because the prosecutor went so light on him, the NFL sent so light on him, and that was both of their stories I really didn't expect a punch like that.
