Caught the midnight screening of Let Me In. You're not going to believe this, but it's better than the original. LMI's a masterpiece- 10/10. 12thMan 10-01-2010, 09:19 PM Damn, I wanted to see Catfish too! Caught the midnight screening of Let Me In. You're not going to believe this, but it's better than the original. LMI's a masterpiece- 10/10. See it man, you might like it. But I don't think it's what you think it is. I thought BA did a good job on Town though. Definitely a good flick, decent storyline. mooby 10-02-2010, 01:18 AM I saw Book of Eli in the theater and thought it was good. My wife and I rented The Slammin' Salmon (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/slammin_salmon/) last weekend from Redbox. We both love the Broken Lizard movies (Super Troopers, Club Dread, BeerFest), and both figured it would be cheesy. While it was cheesy, it was laugh out loud funny for us and was a pleasant surprise. Some definite eye candy (Cobie Smulders, April Bowlby, Olivia Munn, Morgan Fairchild (ok, that one might be a stretch)) and Michael Clarke Duncan is hysterical as the lead character. I saw The Slammin' Salmon when it first came out and I thought it was pretty decent. Not as good as some of their other work but it still had its' moments. Michael Clarke Duncan was especially hilarious in it, I loved his attitude. itvnetop 10-11-2010, 06:52 PM The Social Network is an excellent film. The story behind Facebook is intriguing. Great writing (Sorkin), direction (Fincher) and score (Reznor). mredskins 10-12-2010, 08:53 AM Damn, I wanted to see Catfish too! Caught the midnight screening of Let Me In. The car seen at the gas station was so awesome! When Hit Girl turned she remind me of Regen form the Exorcist. itvnetop 10-12-2010, 05:56 PM Went to see this Saturday. Awesome, awesome film I loved it so much! The car seen at the gas station was so awesome! When Hit Girl turned she remind me of Regen form the Exorcist. Yeah, that car scene was brilliant. Hit Girl was awesome! I think Reeves should have left this scene in the movie: (Warning- the scene is intense and implies a not-so-nice moment) NsKk0A_vofQ mooby 10-12-2010, 06:09 PM The Social Network is an excellent film. The story behind Facebook is intriguing. Great writing (Sorkin), direction (Fincher) and score (Reznor). I haven't seen it yet but I've read articles from friends close to Mark Zuckerberg and they say it paints a very bad picture of him, that he wasn't anything like what he's portrayed in the movie. Having not seen it and not knowing Mark Zuckerberg I don't have much of an opinion on it but it doesn't seem like a nice thing to do if that is true. And I just saw The International last night. I definitely liked that one, waited long enough for it to come out but it was very good. And it was a nice redemption for Clive Owen because the last movie I saw him in before The International was Shoot 'Em Up and I couldn't take him seriously in that one at all. itvnetop 10-13-2010, 10:26 PM I haven't seen it yet but I've read articles from friends close to Mark Zuckerberg and they say it paints a very bad picture of him, that he wasn't anything like what he's portrayed in the movie. Having not seen it and not knowing Mark Zuckerberg I don't have much of an opinion on it but it doesn't seem like a nice thing to do if that is true. From what I've gathered, Sorkin definitely took creative liberties with the story. While Zuckerberg isn't painted as a saint, the movie shows that nobody came out clean during Facebook's ascension. Zuckerberg is written in a way that leaves much to be interpreted from the viewer. You should still watch it if you have any interest... it's a good flick. |
