And I responded to you in that thread and in this one on that very subject, but apparently that response is getting ignored. If you want to debate it seriously, let me know. But start by reading my points.
I posted because i was specifically interested in your response. I never saw the post and - i'll search for it since i dont remember what thread it was in.

What bothers me about this deal is FO negotiating forever with Hall to save maybe 2M and pay him 12M instead of 14M. which would have probably sealed the deal a few weeks ago. But would see no problem in giving HWorth 100M. This can't be real. It's true that Haynesworth probably isn't worth what he will command on the open market, but he does fill the need of impact player that we have. Hall doesn't fill that role. Hall is pretty replaceable talent.

We could get Canty for a third of what it would cost to land Haynesworth, and we'd still be able to address other needs through FA.
I also hope this rumor isn't true.

this would top all the disasters of the past though. I guess for me, ive always deluded myself with the idea that things would get better, that Snyder has learned something... this tells me the owner of the team i love only cares about one thing - selling jerseys. And it tells me that the owner of the team i love cares more about making money than he does about winning. Why should we invest our time, money, and "heart" into something thats just using us for our money without trying to give us anything of value in return. we deserve more than that, dont we?
Ive been a redskins fan my entire life. My father raised me as a redskin fan, we stayed redskins fans, even when everyone else around us in NC switched and became panthers when that franchise started. i always thought when i had kids, id raise them as redskins fans too. I suppose i'm being overly dramatic, but if this rumor is true, and we do sign haynesworth to a contract that large, itll truly make me question whether this team under its current ownership deserves to have me as a fan.
I wouldn't call going after the best defensive player a disaster. Trading picks for TJ Duckett as an insurance, that's a disaster. Trading picks for an average Brandon Lloyd, that's a disaster. Making Adam Archuleta the highest paid safety for no reason, that's a disaster. I'm not saying that the possibility of getting Haynesworth is the best thing the team can do, but I don't think it is the worst.
I mean, we're calling this a failure, because we believe he's going to decline once he gets paid. Well, that's a chance the team is taking, a bad one, but it's one of many things that can happen. I can tell you what's a worst move than signing Haynesworth, trading picks to get Boldin. You're entitled to your opinion, however I disagree with you labeling this the worst move ever by the franchise.

I'm calling BS on Haynesworth. I think the "rumor" is just a power play to increase his leverage with the Titans.

He was nothing special his first 5 years in the league.... even now, he only averages one sack every 2 games.
If this report is true, it will seriously test my loyalty as a fan.
This is exactly what is wrong. You directly correlate numbers and stats with how good a player is. You should try watching film of this guy. It's no coincidence that when I woke up this morning and flipped on ESPN, Merril Hoge was talking about how A.H. doesn't have the #'s, but he is a beast and consistently draws double teams anywhere he is lined up, thus freeing up OTHER players for mismatches and sacks, etc... If all he does for us is draw double teams and makes opposing D coordinators game plan against him, I don't care if he has 1 sack a year, he's doing his job and is well worth the money. It's not always about whats on paper, but what a player can do for your team.

I'd like a better source than the one currently provided but the sad thing is that I have to give a blogger from Houston the benefit of doubt because of our spending spree ways of the past.
I would like to believe that if this is true and we do sign Haynesworth at the jump of free agency then that would certainly confirm for me that Snyder has not relinquished his authority over the roster. Snyder's prints on the personnel should be minimal since Vinny got his new title, but this move would not indicate that...
...that article made me sick when I got to the contract part.
