Haynesworth's knee still bothering him? | ProFootballTalk.com (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/08/03/haynesworths-knee-still-bothering-him/)

Per the Associated Press, Haynesworth received an injection on Sunday to cushion a knee that he sprained late in the 2008 season. He did not particpate in the second practice of the day.

Coach Jim Zorn reportedly described the procedure as "normal."

What isn't entirely "normal" is that Zorn's comments regarding Haynesworth were omitted from the collection of quotes from Zorn that was distributed by the team on Sunday.

70-what about Marcus Mason? Anything on him?

I hear Chase had another up and down day.

Mason looked okay I guess on Saturday. I haven't been back since then. The running game is very diificult to evaluate because they don't really finish the play. You have to sort of speculate as to what the gain might have been. Betts still looks the best catching the ball out of the backfield. He's got a great knack for dancing along the sidelines.

The situation with the QBs is hard to evaluate as well. I mean, If you're Chase, are you going to check down or are you going to say "What the hell?" and chuck it deep more times than not? Ditto PJ. They have nothing to lose or very little anyways. The fans see them hurling it long and say, "that's the kind of QB we need etc. etc." The thing that worries me is that I'm not sure Campbell has the ability to anticipate the movement of people on the field well enough to know where to go with the ball. This is the classic QB failing, IMO. As a result, he waits until he sees it with his own two eyes, which is often too late. Collins can anticipate better, but can't get the ball there if it's more than twenty yards away. If we coulk throw those two in a blender and make one QB smoothie we might have something. Throw in a little vodka never hurts.

But as I said before, perhaps JC was simple off on Saturday.

To answer your question more directly, he still lokks like the Marcus Mason that has impressed us these past few pre-seasons. He could play in this league, IMO. The fact that he's back here is one of the bigger surprises to me. I figured he would definitely catch on with the next team he was with, didn't you?

According to the Post, the defense is tearing apart the O-Line. That's going to make Zorn lose his job, and it's not his fault.

What did you expect? we went out and got 1 of the best DT's in the league and we got the best passrusher in the draft IMO.plus Daniels is back and playing well. We didnt invest much in the Oline so ofcourse they are behind.
