Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office. His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton’s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. The Bush Admin oversaw 52 consecutive months of job growth, which is unprecedented. You can put whatever context you want around it to frame it against Clinton/Reagan, but it happened and it was a good thing. Biography of George W. Bush on Jobs (http://www.ontheissues.org/Celeb/George_W__Bush_Jobs.htm) Not a good idea to post from unedited WSJ blogs and say my facts are wrong. Doesn't quite make sense. It's amazing how far some will go will skew facts to serve their own personal adgenda. Obviously in your eyes, even when Bush did things well, you hated him enough to think he did NOTHING right. dblanch66 08-22-2009, 07:19 PM Way to contribute dblanch66 Hypocrite, party of one: you're table is ready. dblanch66 08-22-2009, 07:22 PM Surprise, a lefty from LA disagrees. You're right though: - the concept of helping all children succeed in school, especially in lower and mid-lower income areas, and holding schools accountable for performance is a crappy idea. - so is stopping Partial Birth abortion - the Bush Admin of course had nothing to do with stopping terrorist attacks from 2001-2008. - who cares about the millions in Africa that Bush approved funding saved from AIDS & death. - we should've never went after Bin Laden and the Taliban, we deserved 9/11. - I enjoy telemarketing calls at dinnertime. I'll just drop another hit, how silly of me to even post. Assume my affiliations if you will. I voted for Paul. Independent from LA if you please. Did you understand all of "My Pet Goat" when Bush was reading it to you during the 911 attacks? dmek25 08-22-2009, 07:35 PM 52 cons. months X a couple hundred at a clip = 10,400 total jobs.
