SmootSmack 03-28-2010, 01:46 AM same.. though that's how I am with every show that I watch
I wonder if it's on comcast ondemand hmmm
It's one of the shows I watch on the plane, but I've never actually seen it when not up in the air.
It doesn't, in my opinion, come close to How I Met Your Mother as far as CBS sitcoms
Anyway, as far as new shows I watched some Men of a Certain Age today. Thought it was decent, but nothing really all that great. Was hoping for more considering the cast.
tryfuhl 03-28-2010, 02:02 AM can't say I've watched either of those shows
Dirtbag59 03-28-2010, 02:40 AM One day I'll watch How I met your Mother. It seems like it could easily be in the same neighborhood as Friends when it's all said and done. Though I would prefer for the series to be almost finished by the time I start watching it. More fun to marathon a show rather then one a week. Anyway looks like I'll have something to look forward to in 2015.
Personally when I get a chance I like watching The Big Bang Theory. Not exactly the best combination of humor and story like you see in shows like Friends and Frasier but it definitely has the humor part down.
In the meantime the only sitcom that I haven't really gotten a chance to see all the way through is Will and Grace. Very rarely have I not gotten a good laugh out of the show so thats always a good thing. Though I wish I could rewatch Everybody Loves Raymond, George Lopez, Frasier, Malcolm in the Middle, and Friends for the first time. I also wish I could get into Cheers but it's just not my type show, not to say I don't enjoy it when it comes on. I'll probably get around one day to News Radio and Just Shoot Me.

It's kind of like coaches that have won a Super Bowl with a previous team. Very difficult to repeat the same level of success. Fox probably thought they had a surefire hit with Back to You with Patricia Heaton and Kelsey Grammer. NBC learned that with Joey.

One of my all time favorites
GMScud 03-28-2010, 11:25 PM The Pacific continues to rock. Just flat out great, great television. And if you aren't proud to be American after watching it, I'm not quite sure if you have a pulse.
I also really like Life on Discovery. So impressive. How they get some of those shots blows my mind. Shows like Life and Planet Earth are the reasons that HD television exists.
And I friggin forgot to DVR the new episode of Family Guy tonight. Shit.
tryfuhl 03-28-2010, 11:28 PM been watching Undercover Boss, feel good show

been watching it too, just dont trust these reality shows though.Every week the boss is stuck with someone that has a "story".
I work at a jewelry store in Kingwood. George Foreman lives in Kingwood. He was shooting some reality show,I dont know if it was ever picked up or not.But he brought his own wifes ring in to stick in one of our cases and pretend he was picking it out for her. After that its hard for me to believe that most of the stuff that happens isnt a setup.

"Reality TV" is one of the biggest oxymorons on this planet. It's all contrived BS.
