I'm really liking The Event, but I'm with you. The first two shows are:
"18 years ago..." then,
"4 minutes ago..." then,
"6 months ago..." then,
"7 hours later..." then,
"18 years ago from this character's perspective..." then,
"7.9 seconds ago from this character's perspective..."
It's absolutely complicated so far, but I'm hoping once we get the back story it'll be a lot better.
I just tried watching episode one on HULU. The show didn't grab my attention in the first 5 minutes so I had to shut it down.

Wow, cool that you watch TPB... whenever I meet a Canadian chick, I mention this show and she suddenly gets a lot more animated in our conversation.
Agreed on Sunny- it's been on a nose-dive since switching writers. Although I do like Eastbound this season... I think the humor is a little darker than season 1.
Keep your dvr on an extra half hour after Sunny- The League is bonkers.
Man and I thought I was the only TPB fan out there haha. Do you know what channel it comes on? I saw the movie first and then I was flippin channels back in the day on DirecTV and came across the 101 channel, and it used to come on there every week. But when I switched back to DTV a few weeks ago I tried to set it up so it DVR'd it and I haven't been able to find it, it doesn't come on there anymore. It was uncensored on the 101 network too :(

I'm starting to get a little pissed with The Event as well. I mean they are aliens and I'm supposed to just watch the back and forth with nothing popping off ? I'm sticking with it because I have some time while at work. It kills a little under an hour for me so hey, you take the L.
Has anyone seen Bradley Coopers new show Kitchen Confidential ?

That show is like 5 years old. I think Hulu's been promoting it lately for some reason

Same here. It's gotten a little slow the past couple of weeks. I'm all done with the flashbacks because they aren't adding ANYTHING to the story.

The previews for next week didn't give me a lot of hope. The show had a lot of promise, but man, it's slowing down so much.

Yea, it's a good show but it's one of those shows that I don't know how much time I'm going to have to devote? I'm I going to have to watch for 5 seasons just to know what's going on?
I like for my shows to at least progress forward and give at least some assemblence of closure occasionally.

Anyone see 30 for 30 about Tim Richmond this week. Very good show. I've heard of the guy, but never knew anything about him. Great driver who like to party (who didn't in their twenties) too much i guess. Drove alot like Dale Sr I guess. Brought back alot of memories about the AIDS scare of the 80's. It's amazing how little info we had back then.
I'm putting two and two together and although they didn't say it, I guess some of Days of Thunder were based on Tim Richmond? Not all, but some similarities.
Anyone else see it?
