I really think this offseason could be excellent if we play our hand correctly and some of our picks pan out the way we'd like.

1st round - No question here. Best Tackle available. We can't keep that a secret.

2nd round - Best guard available. Very likely that both of these picks will start in the upcoming season.

3rd round or possibly trade up into the mid - late 2nd round - GET TONY PIKE. Im telling you guys, Tony Pike reminds me of a slightly more accurate Flacco with much better NFL ready physical attributes. Watch this guy take off. Franchise quarterback flying under the radar.

With those three picks, keeping Samuels (fingers crossed), Derrick Dockery and Levi Jones and possibly Williams for a backup guard position, I think our OLine could actually go from very bad to maybe even above average, given a little luck. Add onto this list the best free agent center on the market this offseason, and its definitely doable.

I think the Skins should be reluctant to trade up for picks. We need more picks not less, and trading up generally means trading away.

I will not be either if Vinny is. I'll not sit through another draft with that schmuck building our team.

Agreed, i cant take it anymore.

What we need is a QB who can win when the game is on the line (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/reliable-source/2009/10/rs-football29.html)

I don't watch much college ball so maybe someone can help me out here, if we were to take a QB, what QBs coming out are 3 or 4 year starters and would be ready to play right away?

Well we don't have a 3rd rounder due to the Jarmon pick in the Supplemental draft. I'd like Bradford, McCoy, Locker, or even Clausen. Not sold on Pike's intangibles and the fact that he once became disinterested in football. That factor there would have him lose a tiebreaker to the aforementioned.

We desperately need to address the O-Line. Hopefully there is a new regime in place to make the decision on which direction to go at QB.

If O-Line is addressed in the early rounds, Personally, I'd try to decide on the best young vet to give a second chance to while rebuilding. Those that come to mind are: (R. Grossman, K. Clemens, K. Boller, T. Jackson, D. Carr, J. Harrington). All are 2010 free agents and I'd bet that one of these current busts turns out to have a decent career. The task will be for the GM to identify which one. Lets pray that Vinny is not making this decision.

If we draft a QB in round 1, we should attempt to sign an older vet, perhaps Charlie Batch or Jeff Garcia, depending which one fits the new coach's scheme.

Also, all of the Colt Brennan apologists on this thread need to relax. Once we get a real coach in here Brennan will be released or beat out in camp. I have inside information that informed me that ONE of the FEW reasons Brennen was kept was the fact that his Jersey sales were much more favorable to Chase Daniel's.

And yes that same person also told me that the sales had something to do with how female skins fans feel about Brennan's looks. This is a FOOTBALL TEAM not a FASHION MAGAZINE!

Can't wait till the offseason! I truly believe that the owner will wise up and get some real people to run this team.

I think Clausen could play right away but he doesn't fit under your criteria. Instead you'd be looking at guys like Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Dan Lefevour, Max Hall, Riley Skinner, Dominic Randolph (sleeper out of Holy Cross), and Zac Robinson

Being in Seattle, I figured you would have mentioned Jake Locker. I'd take him before any of the names coming out this year.

No way!!!!! He can't pass for shit! They're hyping him like he's going to be Montana special. Of course UDub has Nick Montana (son on Joe Montana) coming in next year (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/huskies/2009320682_uwfb10.html). I watched him play 6 weeks or so ago against here against Skyline (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/football/poll/2009-super25.htm) and he looked amazing (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/varsitytimesinsider/2009/09/oaks-christian-skyline-bill-reddell-nick-montana-jake-heaps.html) (21 of 32 passes for 258 yards and three TDs).

His backup is Gretzkys' son right?
