Hear is a portion of the story written in the Post:

Sopping wet in his gray nylon long-sleeve shirt, he finally acknowledged the crowd shouting his name behind the ropes.
"We love you, Albert!" someone yelled. He raised his hand in a mock wave just in time to hear the retort. "We'd love you more if you lose 10 more pounds."

I love the bold part!

I believe it was actually said if he'd run 10 more laps, at least that's what was reported by several guys yesterday

A mixed reaction I didn't expect, but I did share a quick moment with a player I won't name about the feeling of offseason workouts going foreward. Is this type participation going to be expected to continue in the future, or is/was it because the majority of the guys wanted to leave a good impression. His response was he hadn't given it much thought, but if it is expected to continue he thinks there could be more Haynesworth's in the future minus the dollars.

Well, we'll see. I mean I love that all the players were working out at the park together...but I have never minded when players wanted to train on their own or workout elsewhere. The thing that bothered me about Haynesworth was just the mini camp that was required. If guys want to work out elsewhere next year, I wouldnt have an issue with it... of course I'm sure if we win a ton of games, guys will buy into it. If we go 6-10, then they might not.

From where I was standing I could hear the "We love you" part but little else. I know attention gazed towards the comments.

This is just awesome. All those people who were fooled by that bathroom break garbage get to realize that he isn't in proper cardio shape and he knows it, because he never has been or planned on being in good shape with reagrds to stamina in his entire freakin life.

Nobody ever made him do it.

This is the best thing that could have ever happened to him as a player and as an immature manchild.

Worst case he completely melts down and throws a tantrum and leaves Redskins Park and quite honestly that would be pretty awesome if that happened.

The age of spoiled players on this team is over.

Haynesworth still hasn't caught up to Fred Smoot's epic ability to fail the test. Just sayin'

IMO this is snowballing into a public pissing contest between Shanny and Albert. I don't like it one bit.

I do, because Albert can't/won't win.

missed his first shuttle this morning by a single second

Don't you mean "by a whole second"?

Given that the test is only given to those not around for offseason activities, I think a message is being sent to the whole team for future offseasons.

I think it's most of the snowballing is coming from the fans. Albert has not or can not say anything to the media and Shanahan is just using trying to be as generic as possible. It's a big deal because of Albert's past actions, which include him skipping mandatory workouts, and his failure to complete the test is a validation of many fans' perception of him being a large bag of blubber even if it has also been reported that he has indeed slimmed down. Otherwise, it wouldn't be as such a big deal, as Smoot always failed it on his first try
