The change of direction puts more stress on the knees, but still, if his knees can take the pounding of "flying" on the treadmill, and with a negative MRI, his excuses are running thin. He needs to pass this test and pass it soon.

AH could very well blow this opportunity, but this is the best chance for him to fulfill his potential.

If that piece of shit ever dedicated himself he would win the Defensive MVP. No one has ever gotten his attention, because he is an elite player without even trying and he is an immature bitch.

Imagine if Shanahan somehow gets through to him. Wow!

Most likely this will end badly, but I love everything Shanahan is doing with this baby.

I'm personally counting on this. I want to see a Redskins organization that is able to work with a problem player the way Belichick did with Randy Moss.

Agreed, he just needs to pass the damn test.

Does anyone know if Haynesworth has been instructed off limits to the media? For a man that has been the subject of such wide spread media attention and controversy, one would think the media would surely have some questions to ask of him. Through it all, there has not been a word [to my knowledge] from him that would attempt to satisfy the curiosity of so many interested in anything he may have to say in regards to all that's going on around him.

I haven't heard him speak a word publically since the end of last season.

I don't think Haynesworth is a financial burden for any team right now if he were to be traded. Honestly, what would be more of a barrier is the hype behind him not passing the fitness test. As I said, other than not passing the test, AH has said and done the right things, but I doubt that any team will be able to get by the general opinion of him.

Not to THEM, but if he can take our $21 million and go play somewhere else...horrible deal for us.

Thanks Matty....Have you ever witnessed a situation like this before, where a player was instructed not to speak with the media? It just seem like such a rarity.

Don't know. Haven't seen a situation quite like AH's in general.

Thank god, because some one out there who has an agenda against the Skins would take whatever he said all be it positive or nonconfrontational and turn it into a bigger story by taking the one context out of a comment and turn it into a negative story.

It's actually Haslett who the Redskins have not allowed to speak to the media until Haynesworth practices. They're walking a fine line with the NFL media policy with that, but probably not too big a deal as long as it doesn't linger.

It's not uncommon for teams to strongly encourage players not to speak and that seems to be the case with Haynesworth, but I don't believe he's been told he can't. He just hasn't been.

I have not commented on this AH situation, but Geez!.... if he can't pass this test, what kind of "football shape" is he in. He probably stood in front of the mirror every night all summer admiring his body, while he lifted weights and lost weight and thought "Man, I look good!" But he and his trainer failed to get his endurance level up to the level neccessary to be strong in the 4th Qtr of football games, which to me is what this "test" is all about. Don't give him any slack Shanny!
