Does the coach need the player, or the player need the coach? A medium is going to be found in all this, happy or unhappy, a medium nonetheless.

Monkeydad 08-04-2010, 09:39 AM Given how Shanahan has beaten the hell out of him in the public eye, do you really think he'd let him get away with this? If AH is really faking all of this to not practice, then either MS is really dumb for not noticing or AH is doing a helluva job hiding it from him. Shanahan had planned to make him pass a test to practice. Albert's playing games with it and since then, Coach has come out and said publicly that AH could end up practicing without passing the test...he's on top of things and knows what Fatso is doing...but won't let it derail the training camp for the entire team. I have no doubts that we're running a highly structured, effective and overall great camp for the entire team. Haynesworth is not interfering with anyone but himself and the media who drools over another day of Chicken Little Redskins reporting. SirClintonPortis 08-04-2010, 09:43 AM Does anybody else think Haynesworth might not be passing because he doesn't want to pass so he can't practice? Yeah, while being examined by a professional medical staff, a head coach who sticks to principles and is certainly watching him, and a conditioning coach who he reportedly has a good rapport with, and some initial assurance that he won't be Mr. Nose Tackle after all. You think they're going to let him get away with it OR he go and disappoint Wright? Then there's his own actions. First the potty break, then WANTING to run it again despite being advised by Ray Wright to just wait till the next day. Makes no sense to me. I know that if I wanted to bomb it, I would have taken to "let me rest" option than try the test again. SmootSmack 08-04-2010, 09:46 AM Don't think he's faking it, the team doctors are holding him out. He's not staying out on his own. Well I'm not a doctor nor a personal trainer, but my suspicion is he's not faking it. However, I believe the reason, or a big reason, his knee is hurting is because he lost a lot of weight too fast. It's almost like he was cramming for an exam at the last minute instead of studying (or in his case working out) all spring as he said he would. He had problems with the knee last year, that's why I suggested in an earlier post the fact this could be a lingering problem that could have him in and out of the line-up for extended periods. A plus 300lb. man, short on endurance with a bum knee is not a good combination. The best hope is that the knee will get better with rest and treatment since it dosen't appear to be serious enough for an MRI. Why can't you just see things for what they are? Why does everything have to be a conspiracy or someone playing games and whatnot? Ok, we get it that you don't like AH, neither do I and a lot of people. But that doesn't mean you get to make stuff up. Like I said, I wish people would just stop complaining about this and discuss other things that are more relevant and important, rather than coming up with conspiracy theories and crap. Good post. you da man Longtimefan 08-04-2010, 10:24 AM SS, if I had a buck for everytime I've heard or seen Albert Haynesworth's name since March, I wouldn't have to worry about out-living my savings. If it's not one thing, it's another. skinsfaninok 08-04-2010, 11:22 AM I dont care what AH does anymore... As long as he helps this team win games I'm cool with what he does.. GMScud 08-04-2010, 02:03 PM I dont care what AH does anymore... As long as he helps this team win games I'm cool with what he does.. I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm so over this dude. I'm hoping he gets right and comes in and dominates at DE. If he doesn't and continues to be a big turd, Shanny/Allen will deal with him. That's really all I have left for this guy. |
