They need to cut the shit and just have AH sit out til the knee is treated and healed. Every time they try to test the guy is a media feeding frenzy that is fast becoming a distraction to the team. Diffuse the situation by sitting AH out with an aggravated knee injury. He probably aggravated it busting ass to shed those 35lbs as he probably overdid it with running, etc. I see no point in giving the press ammo to this stupid drama. Shanahan isn't doing himself any favors with this crap anymore. Just sit the guy out til the knee heals.

This was all brought on by AH because he refused to come to camps saying he was working on his own. Its great he lost 35 pounds but he could have done that by just diet alone. Now he shows up and is out of shape so he needs to be embarassed. It also set the tone for other team members,

Daseal makes a good point. I'm sure a lot of us could pass this test, but that certainly does not mean we're anywhere near being in football shape.

I think thats the whole point. I think the test is more or less trying to see if Albert even has the dedication to ATTEMPT to pass. From what i heard he almost made it the last time, so maybe they will let up and let him practice.

BUT, if he keeps on with this not trying stuff....then they should cut his ass

I tend to agree here...tell the press he will not be running on the knee for the next week so it can heal up...rather than doing light work on it...ditch the work, it can't be helping a bad knee...put him in a brace and let him watch practice and work on the rest of his body and study the playbook like a machine. If the message comes from Shanny, it will still look like he is calling all the shots....I don't see the value in Haynesworth aggravating a knee injury to run some mandatory shuttle test. He'd obviously have to run hard to get through it...likewise, he shouldn't be practicing on a bad knee either...but he should be able to be involved in walkthroughs...again...if Shanny says it is all to benefit his knee...and he must still pass later..he still has all the cards.

Am I the only one that doesn't consider being able to do 600 (or 900) yard shuttle run as being equivalent to football shape for a DT? I keep hearing Haynesworth isn't in football shape; then someone mentions a shuttle run. Lets get him in pads and see if he can shed blockers in a 10 yard (max) run. That's football shape.

Honestly, I think that Albert could have done more -- but lets not confuse a DT doing shuttle runs vs. football shape. I'm curious how many along our DL could do this drill.

Both sides made mistakes. Haynesworth seems to have bought in. Lets get this done, get him on the field, and let Haynesworth add his presence to the front 3.

Judging by comments from Matt Bowen and Jeff Fisher, these shuttle runs are pretty much standard across the league. I'm going to guess that more than half of the DTs in the league could do this without a problem, on the first try.

By the way, I've never been a fan of the term "football shape." It reminds me of Bobby Knight trying to understand "game face." That said, *anyone* in the league should be able to do this IMO. If you can't run 300 yards, then you can't play an entire game of football IMO.

When did running at football practice become taboo?

If he has so little heart or loyalty that he won't do this thing.....GET THE F... RID OF HIM
BTW, I don't anybody believes that he IS in "football" shape if he can run a couple of shuttles. I think the point is, if he CANNOT, that he is not even close and no point in going further?

Ok, you are completely making something out of nothing. Why can't you just see things for what they are? Why does everything have to be a conspiracy or someone playing games and whatnot? Ok, we get it that you don't like AH, neither do I and a lot of people. But that doesn't mean you get to make stuff up. Like I said, I wish people would just stop complaining about this and discuss other things that are more relevant and important, rather than coming up with conspiracy theories and crap.

Are you sure you replied to the right post?

I got that statement right from Shanahan's mouth (CSN Sportsnite interview specifically). What exactly did I make up? Shanny said he may let him practice without passing the test. It's no conspiracy theory.

I have no huge problem with AH, far less than others on here. I want him to get his act together and play...it's better for the team.

Just look at the post before this one. :D

Ndamukong Suh passes 'Haynesworth Test' | freep.com | Detroit Free Press (http://www.freep.com/article/20100805/SPORTS01/8050354/1049/SPORTS01/Ndamukong-Suh-passes-Haynesworth-Test)

Before he could take the field, he first completed what previously was considered a mundane conditioning drill until Redskins coach Mike Shanahan and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth butted heads this week. Even Suh referred to it as "the Haynesworth Test."

It required running 25-yard sprints six times. Suh, below, passed, running it in 65 seconds one time and 67 seconds the other.
