Reporter Gives Update Covered In Sea Foam (http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/fox-reporter-gives-update-covered-in-sea-foam-20110827)
Gross, and stupid.
These weather reporters out in the elements are so dumb. We get it, it's raining, it's windy. I can look out my window to see that. I don't need some dumbass standing outside to get an idea of how bad the storm is.

I was watching the reporting during the storm....it's comical stuff. I guess is it was my job I would search for things to make it seem...worse or more dramatic to make it more interesting, appealing?
Funny....

Agreed. I enjoy watching them get battered around. Serves 'em right. I was laughing out loud last night at the reporters that were wearing goggles out there.

What an idiot: "The foam is often a toxic mix of pollution and cyanobacteria"

bored. pretty crazy when you see it on a bigger screen than your phone, that house is f-ed. how close was this to your place?
That pic is about 2 or 3 miles from my house. Its south of the james right before the nickel bridge. Its a pretty nice area with mainly old houses that have slate roofs so I guess that was part of it. I think the Richmond area has 70% power outages. I just drove around the fan, vcu, and the southside and there are tons of trees down.

We didn't get anything bad here, the "worst" part of it was 40 mph winds whipping the trees around and very minor rain spraying everywhere. I could post of pic of some leaves lying in the street so you guys get the idea but I think you guys already get it by now. That was a very weak storm, the power never went out except for a couple minor restarts last night. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
Also, that reporter is retarded. He's basically covered in ass juice. What was he thinking? No update is worth that.

Still without power in SE DC...I'm roughing it from a coffee shop with internet. I'd be pissed if this were the first Sunday of regular season.

I know I am safe in the Detroit area, but the way they covered Irene was like it was Andrew or going to be like Katrina. Most of the deaths were because of sheer stupidity, and the damage done to the DC area was akin to a very bad string of thunderstorms or tornado it sounds like. Bloomberg wanted NYC to evacuate, now they are going to open NYSE and the US Open is set to go. The media needs to get its shit together. I know in the 24/7 news cycle demands stuff, but more people could have been hurt if sheer panic were to take over.
