Anyone having any hurricane issues yet? Not much stirring in DC. A little drizzle.
A little rain and mild winds here, about 25 miles south of DC.
I was talking to my boss yesterday about the storm, and he goes "we'll definitely be open on Monday. I mean, it's just a little rain. You'll be fine driving in (I have about a 20 mile commute to work)"
There's no way I'm going in if we're in the midst of hurricane force winds and rain.
what is being predicted for the DC area?

According to my wife, Armeggedon and the arrival of the four horsemen.
I expect a lot of rain and high winds through Wednesday. Crossing my fingers on keeping power but not hopeful of it.

Good luck to all that's in the path.
Be safe God bless
After looking at the weather for the area...it may not be to bad. Like 50-60 mph gusts and sustained to 40..ish. Well, if you have a few things prepared, it may not be to bad. Nice time of year to lose power if it has to be. Not to hot...thats a biggie. Good luck to all of you and hopefully you have plenty of chainsaw gas.
And naturally warm beer is only bad when compared to cold beer...enjoy!

Exactly - if it was hot out id be so upset about the AC. I was in Miami for Andrew. 170 mph winds. This is big and will linger but it isnt so vicious.
