I always go to the stores late at night. Less lines and usually this early there's still some things left. Luckily I went there yesterday and got milk and eggs, so now I just need some canned goods.

Think im gonna give in and buy a generator today

WOW...the project path has really changed from last night. Instead of the sharp turn into the tidewater area of Virginia, it seems now the to take a more conventional turn with landfall between Delaware and South Jersey. Probably gonna affect the game in Pittsburgh.

We're right here on the border between PA and NJ on the Delaware about an hour north of Philly. I'm really hoping we don't see anything more than a little rain. Oh, and my wife is ready to have our first child any day now. Yay hurricanes.

I told my wife if she is born on Wednesday or whenever this thing hits, middle name might have to be Hurricane. Suffice to say, I've been assured that will not happen.

Anyone having any hurricane issues yet? Not much stirring in DC. A little drizzle.

Rain just picked up in Stephens City and it's starting to get windy. Nothing bad yet, but you can tell it's on the way.

We are forcasting for 70 mph+ wind gusts tomorrow as well as anywhere from 4 to 8 inches of rain possible. Schools here are already closed.

The grocery stores are like the walking dead show. Literally they are almost out of food. I went to the Food Lion, and they were totally out of bottled water, milk, bread, and most canned foods. Funny thing is, we are almost guaranteed to lose electricity at some point so i wonder what good the canned food will do anybody...

If you've got a hand can opener, you can eat canned food till the cows come home.

She's nervous because she just heard that the pressure change from a hurricane can induce labor, but that's probably an old wives tale.
