RG making 30 mil is laughable. I can't believe the owners pay him that kind of money.

Not that im a fan Goodell, I dont agree with a fair amount of his decisions. As they are all based on "the consumer wont leave so we dont need to take them into account when we make our decisions". (Sadly he is right though, I dont like it but dont see myself not watching football anytime soon, but arrogance could possibly come back to haunt him)

Feelings of Goodell and/or the direction of the NFL aside. How much do you think someone in the real world overseeing a 9 bil per year enterprise (and by most accounts, still growing) with 33 separate entities to oversee deserves to make?

Throw in that he technically has 32 bosses to keep happy and the red tape/headaches that brings to the table.

Dallas may make a run at freeney, it wouldn't surprise me.

Wonder If we'll look at woodson? Or maybe a Patrick Chung?

I would like it if we can get Woodson and draft a Safety with our 2nd round pick like Phillip Thomas or Baccari Rambo and help mentor him for a year or two.

A. The Saints screwed themselves by having the bounty program

B. The NFL is probably the most profitable and popular sport in the country

C. The 28 owners that voted to screw us over and the Cowpukes are to blame for the cap penalties

In the end, Goodell does the bidding of the owners. And unless the NFL's popularity and profitability drops; no one can say that the commish is doing a terrible job.

100% dead on!

Roger? Is that you?!?
No seriously though. He is ruining the game changing it. And whether some of the previous points are true or not, he is way overpayed. All the commissioners are over paid but he especially is over paid.

1) How is he ruining the game?

2)Why is he overpaid?

At 20 mil over the cap? They going to have to make some major moves to have a chance to pull that off.

Why don't they focus on signing Spencer instead of a Freeney. Also he plays re and they already have a good one in Ware. Making a play for a guy like that is why I am so glad Jerry j is still in charge.

I don't think the numbers matter until the day the free agency starts. Between cuts and restructures the cowboys certainly could get Freeneyif JJ wants him and he wants to go there. They would just end up with more dead cap in the future.
