Now look at the Washington Redskins. For years they spent lavishly on free agents but went nowhere. Then they won the NFC East in 2012, only it wasn't free agents that led the charge; it was draft picks Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris, and let that be a lesson to everyone.

Free agency reminds me of buying a used car. It's never going to perform the way it did when it was new. Next year, when we have a lot of cap room, I really hope that we don't go out on a spending spree. I think we've had a great off season and we need to have more like the ones we've had so far. Re-sign our own guys, draft a few more nuggets like Morris, add a free agent or two... and stop chasing other teams players. I think we're finally done with Fat Albert and Jason Tayor type deals.

Kerrigan was good last year but no way he deserves a 30 out of 30 for pass rush. That makes it sound like he is the best pass rusher in the NFL and he is in the backfield every single play. Last time I checked QB's had 5+ seconds to throw almost every game and Kerrigan wasn't exactly double teamed a majority of those times.
