How in the hell can the govt make you change your name?
WTF country is this anyways?

The government can't make you change your name. But it can remove trademark protection.

This Administration hasn't even signed a budget yet...we're in year 5!

You expect them to actually work on something important? Ha.

This liberal "don't offend anyone" mentality is not only going after the Redskins, but the whole sport of football is going to be changed by this way of thinking...it has already started with all of the rules to water down the "violence" of the game. They're always trying experiments to cater to foreign countries and minority groups (games in Mexico, Canada, England...) If a team ever does sign a female kicker...look out...the game will never be the same again. Rules will be changed that will ruin the sport.

Enjoy football while you can...it won't be real football for much longer.

Why can't football be played on Rosh Hashanah?

They play on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and occasionally Christmas Day (2011).

An even better question is why the Orioles are not open to the idea of moving the game to the afternoon.

The Orioles attendence has been horrible the last couple of years due to the bad play of the team, and even last year during the playoff push the stadium was hardly ever full.

To me it would seem to be good business for the O's to move the game and allow fans of both teams to attend both events. It would be a celebration of Baltimore sports and I am sure would boost the attendance of the baseball game. Fans would love it much like was done a few years ago in Philly when multiple fans attended the Eagles game in the afternoon and took their rowdiness down the street to watch the Phillies play in the WS. I had more than a few family members and friends make that double header and had a blast.

(BTW having grown up in the 80's in the DMV the O's were and still are my baseball team)

When is Ramadan? If we ever play on that day, I bet the cheerleaders will be locked out of the stadium!

Soon, feminists will probably get cheerleaders banned by law because it makes out-of-shape women feel "sad".

We're already removing honor rolls in some schools because it hurts the feelings of the kids who don't work hard enough.

I'm surprised we still keep score. 2016 playoff seeding: EVERYONE is invited!

Next year's combine...instead of 40-yard dash (offends the handicapped) and bench press (players setting off too many Lunk Alarms at Planet Fitness and fat people are getting offended), the players will compete in a Round Robin Chess Tournament to prove that they can learn playbook and game strategy.

This September, the Orioles will be in first-place. NOT an O's fan saying this either, but the Yankees and Red Sox will both be bad this season...the Blue Jays always are and the Rays will be the only real AL East competition for Baltimore.

I think they should stick to their schedule. Seriously, why can't they play on Rosh Hosana? Are there that many Jewish players? Even so, they're made to play on Christian holidays...

I honeslty don't even understand the Jewish Holiday being a reason to not play the game on Wednesday.

I am not insensitive to the Jewish religious holidays, but like others have said the league plays football on more than one Christian Holiday so whats the big deal. They play games on the Sabbath during the playoffs so its not like the league has a problem with not observing religious practices.

This will most likely occur, especially with the NFL moving the start back, but it is more complicated than the O's deciding, both the White sox and the MLBPA will have to agree to the move. Also Sept is usually booked with make up days due to early season rain delays.
