SF doesn't need revis. their D is great and that money would be MUCH better spent on offensive talent.
Never stand pat keep trying to improve. SF's D gave up an avg 30 points a game in the playoffs, albeit to some pretty good Offenses.

@Jimmy_Beast: If KC's 2 to SF accurate, here are the Niners' picks: 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7. Also projected to get 4, 7, 7 comp picks. Unreal.
Wow I'd love to know how to build up a draft that well and have a great team and have a good amount of cap space
With that # of picks they can move up in the draft, also in order to make room for some of these players, they'll be getting rid of good players.

Supply and demand...I think he is probably the best available QB in the market right now.
Nobody was going to pony up a 2nd rounder for Smith. It was much like us giving up a 4th to the Jags for Brunell when they were going to cut him anyway. No way the 49ers keep a backup with that type of cap and salary. It wasn't a question of if they were going to cut him, but when. Andy Reid already starting his tenure out in KC as a colossal failure. One of the worst trades I've seen in quite some time.

Reports are that the 49ers are going to make a run at revis with all those picks.

There's actually a good chance that Percy Harvin and Darrelle Revis could both be on the 49ers next year.
Whether they get one of those guys or both, they're my pick to win the Super Bowl next year over Denver.

Did you see what Brady, flacco and Ryan did to their secondary? Culliver showed that besides his hate of gays, he isn't a good nickleback.
As for money I believe San Fran has $15 million in space. More now that Alex smith is gone.

The alternative is waiting until he gets cut, then have someone else pick him up and you are left with the bottom of the barrel in FA or the draft since no one in the draft this year is projected as a Luck or Griffen III.
HOWEVER, look what the Skins did, skipped over QB in the draft when they didn't like what they saw and waited a year. Even with Beck/Rexy suckiness. And it has paid off hasn't it???
way overpaid for alex smith. never thought he was that good. point blank.

Tell me the last SB loser to win it the next year? Odds are. Against SF. I agree about Denver though
