Well, they decided to replace Priyanka Chopra with Rihanna at some point this off-season. As I told SS, it was a downgrade.

Even so, I don't know why in the fuck they would replace her with Rihanna due to Rihanna is often controversial in her actions and words. Even before this domestic violence thing, I don't get why they would select her.

Well, their stupidity bit them in the ass.

How they gonna do my fam like that???

Wow James brown brings up Jovian belcher, first time I've heard it all week. Now that's a damn shame and how quickly we forget that horrific domestic violience issue less than 2 years ago.

The nfl has a major major issue with domestic violence.

The world has a major major issue with domestic violence, not just the NFL. I don't see still how Rice isn't behind bars or awaiting trial. How did law enforcement let this slide, never mind the NFL. But I guess if she doesn't press charges, there's nothing to be done. Which is a shame.

As for the NFL, people in the league office are going to take the fall for this. They have to, there's no way around it. Some junior level execs are going to learn that they're not as vital to the league as they thought they were and they're going to take the fall.

I don't know what Goodell knew. I feel he probably knows more than he has let on, but I also feel he put trust in Rice (who as far as I know had no issues prior to this) and in the Ravens organization. I mean you won't find a better run organization than the Ravens. I've been approached a couple of times by the Redskins to join them (has never worked out) but I'd work for the Ravens 7 days out of 7 over the Redskins. They're a model franchise, so I really want to know how did they let it get this far and what are they going to do now

Who is your fam?

Sure the country has a major issue with domestic violence, I forget the statistics, but an overwhelming amount of calls to police are for domestic issues. But some of the stats of NFL rosters with players with a sexual assault or domestic violence type of offense greatly outweight social norms.

The rep of the Baltimore front office is great, that's why it seems crazy that they dropped the ball. I dont think blame goes to one organization, person, or institution...everyone invovled needs to bare some responsibility.

I advise peole to see what James Brown said last night, great take on the situation and he calls out the NFL for missed opportunities in the past to do something.

The laws were changed a while back that the states no longer need the woman to press charges to go ahead and pursue domestic violence charges against the abuser. There was to many instances of women being threatened by the abuser and choosing not to go ahead with charges due to the threats. NJ could have charged Rice regardless of what Janay said or what she wanted to happen. She could have asked for all charges dismissed and NJ could have said no and charged him anyways. NJ dropped the ball because Rice should be in jail.
