How did all fare the night? I guess we'll determine who still has power?

i don't know how the area is as a whole but at my house in woodbridge the power never flickered and it never got to be anything i was really worried about. my wife said there were strong winds during the night that kept her up at some points during the night. but this morning there are still some of those flimsy ass election signs still up in our neighbors yard, so i'm guessin they weren't that strong

We had a lot of rain and some strong winds. The worst came while we were asleep in the midnight - 3:00 a.m. time. We lost power twice for about 5-10 minutes each time. Lots of water leakage, but no flooding.

That's pretty random. You had previous problems with the power going out to your house?
Well, this is the first time that this particular pattern happened. Last night, the neighbors FINALLY got knocked out, but then they got it back while my house and those other two STILL don't have power. The wiring of the lines must be funky or something. I'm sure there are more houses affected, but I must say, the lines are wired in such an unlucky manner for me.

I'm finishing up my first Red Stripe and some eggs. I'm about 30 minutes from Columbia, what's the forecast in your neck of the woods?I ended up staying at my parents' house in MoCo last night after going to my friends wedding in Cabin John. The power flickered there once but that was it.

The wedding was still fun. They moved it up a few hours and even though it was in a pavilion everything stayed pretty dry.

Everything seems okay here in Columbia. I was a little worried about the way rain water pools on my porch (I'm on the ground floor of a garden apartment building) so I moved stuff from near there and my windows, but I don't think there were any leaks or anything. Also, the power was on when I got back and everything seems okay in my fridge so I guess I didn't lose power.
