Manny + Tanney + Shanny = Happy Fanny  :food-smil Dirtbag59 03-01-2012, 06:33 PM I'm increasingly getting the impression that what I heard the first few months of all this is the real story re: our interest in RG3. It maybe it's that I got burned at the very last minute by a usually extremely reliable source re: Gabbert that I'm now hesitant I'm under the impression that a lot of this Redskins going all in for RG3 is being leaked by the Rams camp and thats not to say that the Rams are lying but it does serve the Rams better then it does the Redskins for that info to be out there. Still my mind keeps on going back to this story. Washington Redskins president of operations Dennis Greene was overheard telling people at a Washington Economic Club luncheon today that a new quarterback has been chosen, “and fans will be elated.” Greene said the mystery player’s name won’t be revealed until April, when the NFL draft occurs. By itself it seems suspect as did the Haslet story but with all the information coming out from the major media outlets to support it and Smoot's guys telling us pretty much the same thing, well safe to say it feels like a pretty safe bet if there ever was one. SmootSmack 03-01-2012, 07:25 PM I think they have a take it or leave it offer ready for Manning. Which I hear may be acceptable to him. Don't know what the offer is, or what other teams might be thinking. As for Griffin, everyone talks about us getting a great deal bc Fisher and Shanahan are good friends. I say so what. There are great friends all around the league. But for shots and giggles let's go with that and say they're conspiring to drive up the price Cleveland has to pay. Really all depends on Manning and Flynn I think CultBrennan59 03-01-2012, 07:29 PM I'm under the impression that a lot of this Redskins going all in for RG3 is being leaked by the Rams camp and thats not to say that the Rams are lying but it does serve the Rams better then it does the Redskins for that info to be out there. TexSkins 03-01-2012, 07:31 PM I heard Snyder loves RGIII and one thing the skins do is react to fan buzz. Alot of people in the DMV love the idea of RGIII here. Its a ticket seller and a marketing move as well a solid player aquisition. My pick RGIII/Vince Young/ Clausen Vince Young?! No thank you. Clausen, hell no. Mahons21 03-01-2012, 08:01 PM I'm increasingly getting the impression that what I heard the first few months of all this is the real story re: our interest in RG3. It maybe it's that I got burned at the very last minute by a usually extremely reliable source re: Gabbert that I'm now hesitant For those of us lurkers who may have missed it back then, would you mind reiterating your stance back then? or leading me to a link where I might be able to find it. Dirtbag59 03-01-2012, 08:11 PM As for Griffin, everyone talks about us getting a great deal bc Fisher and Shanahan are good friends. I say so what. There are great friends all around the league. But for shots and giggles let's go with that and say they're conspiring to drive up the price Cleveland has to pay I think the only real advantage of that friendship is it might give a chance for the Redskins to match any offer provided theres not like a minute left on the clock. Then again thats only speculation on my part. I mean we have to keep in mind that all things being equal it's better for Fischer to trade RGIII to the Browns as not only do they have the higher top pick but they're also in the AFC, meaning Fischer wouldn't have to worry about competing with an RGIII led Redskin team down the road for a playoff spot should it come to that. diehardskin2982 03-01-2012, 08:18 PM I think the Redskins - RGIII info is legit. The 4.38 40 didn't hurt SBXVII 03-01-2012, 08:30 PM I changed my vote from Manning to Rg3. I don't want to see an overhaul of the offense to fit manning's style. Rg3 will fit perfectly...hopefully. It's the "hopefully" part that makes me not want make the deal along with the fact all the picks required are too much for anyone player at any position for me.
