In St. Louis, Redskins viewed as favorites to trade up with Rams | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/04/in-st-louis-redskins-viewed-as-favorites-to-trade-up-with-rams/)

The lambs are playing a crazy game think about even if cleveland dosen't want to give up their 2nd 1st round pick their 1st rd & 2nd rd picks are still before our 1st & 2nd rd picks meaning cleveland must be offering 1st & 4th rd pick.

I'm glad we are being tough about the #2 pick this year. Losing that pick would substantially neuter our draft. Keeping that pick means that we can get help for our new QB.Very true. It's important to have a line drawn somewhere.

IMO, if you grab a quarterback this year, the potential upside of the 2013 first rounder drops significant, because one thing you can't draft with it is your QB of the future.

And if you believe like I do that there are plenty of market inefficiencies caused by too many teams overvaluing the QB position, then you can still win on draft day 2013 by trading around with teams that need to position themselves for quarterbacks.

What you can't do is ever trade a future first rounder and potentially find out later that you had a quarterback you liked sitting where you would have picked him, and didn't have the pick. It's why you can't carelessly throw high draft picks around with no clear organization philosophy on how to improve.

Hail to the Redskins

Browns Unwilling to Trade 22nd Pick (http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/54574/report-browns-unwilling-to-trade-22nd-pick)

Could be no news at all... i.e. a smoke-screen... but I just saw it on ESPN.com

nilLets say this all goes wrong,Rams don't get what they want and keep the #2 pick,do you think they would draft RGIII anyway and then try and trade him or Bradford ?

no, i think they would draft who is number 1 on their draft board and then the vikings phone lines would be ringing off the hook and they wont be as stubborn.

I think they would just take Blackmon or Kalil

It would certainly create an interesting...scramble for a few minutes.

I think they would just take Blackmon or Kalilor sit on it and let the clock run out, letting rg3 go at 2 and getting their boner at 3

That would be the ideal situation for us. We could get RG3 cheaper. I wonder if they try bluffing if there doesn't seem to be much interest in how much the Rams are asking. We can tell them you can trade us X amount or we already have a deal in place with Minnesota at #3 for less.

That would make the Vikings happy campers.
