Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?

Of course that's assuming they would have hit home runs on all those picks.

Besides, every new regime typically turns over a roster within a few years as they bring in their own guys.

This is clearly Mike's mess right now. Whether he gets to stay on to clean it up is the question.

And that right there is why I'm very hesitant about getting rid of Mike Shanahan - especially after this season. The team as a whole does not need to be blown up nor does a new regime need to come in and replace what's working. The offense is fine, the offensive philosophy is fine. Give the playcalling duties to Mike if need be, but unless the 'skins are adding a few pieces to the offense, it doesn't need to be touched.

Now, the rest of the team is a different story. I like Ryan Kerrigan, but I don't really care if a new regime blows the defense and special teams completely up at all. More power to them.

You know who the one person who has consistently been there through terrible signings, coaching changes and teams playing terribly...

Daniel Snyder

But how about we see what Shanahan does for the rest of the season, if he finishes with a record around .500 like 7-9 or 8-8 and the team looks good, I think he bought himself one more year. If he finishes 5-11 or worst he needs to go. That is just my opinion on the matter.

Yep and another HC change is going to mean significant changes across the roster whether it's broken or not. I hope people realize that.

Not necessarily. Not necessarily at all, really. I mean after three seasons it'll be a different roster, but that's to be expected anyway.

A decent coach will look to use the talent already here, and of course add to it. A smart coach will use the talent already here better than it's used now, plus add more talent.

I don't think a new coach automatically has a priority to blow up the roster and try to remake the team into something different over night. Just because it's Shanny's way of operating doesn't mean the next guy takes the same approach, and that's a good thing!

In regards to the polls, I voted, "Wait and see" but its more of a wait and see, leaning towards a yes. But if by some punishment from God, we keep losing and end the season 6-10 or worse, then it's time to give Mike the old heave ho.

You're assuming a new coaching staff is not going to touch the offense. That's a lot to assume.

Or Manny Diaz formerly of Texas would be a good add

^ lol, we need someone to develop the players coming in. I don't think Slowick can do that.

Unless you want to hire a figurehead like Zorn, a new coach always brings a new philosophy in terms of systems, personnel and team building. Look at when Denver got rid of Shanahan. McDaniels takes over and wastes no time getting rid of Cutler and later Marshall.

You can't assume a new coach is going to take over and just ride with what we've got. More often than not significant changes happen.
