Someone mentioned somewhere on one of these threads, and I think it's a good point, that the Redskins did what they had to do to beat the Bears. They didn't need to explode offensively or show various wrinkles. No need to show too much before Dallas. Just get the win and go home.

If we could win 10 games this year by playing the way we did against the Bears, I will be a very, very happy man. However, I don't think our offense will be able to play the way it did against the Bears week-in-week-out and expect to get 10 wins, or even 9, or even 8.

Laverneues Coles 6 for 66yds. No TDS. 3 Dropped passes.
Rod Gardner No receptions.
Darnerian McCants- Will be inactive like last season.

Santana Moss 4 for 96yds. More yds than the three of these clowns.
Good Riddance. Ramsey threw an INT in two out of the four preseason games and his first start as the QB, was the same shit. Let him go to Dallas they need a QB that Tuna can develop into nothing.

how did Ramsey manage to score 20 points a game with those same guys then? still basing everything on pre-season huh, man some skins fans never learn about our luck with the pre-season..

I'm standing with Brunell. Against Dallas, I'm standing with Brunell.

I gotta agree here. Against that blitz, I just have a feeling Ramsey would be gang raped.

Gibbs will not trade Ramsey at this point in the season it would be a crazy risk. He was also speaking in terms of seeing how this immediate game goes and seeing who emerges throughout the season. Don't count Patrick out yet. He is upset right now and is thinking of making rash decisions, a good night sleep will probably cure. I know this situation will work out!!!!

I think before it is all said and done, the Bears defense is going to be ranked as a top 10 defense. That line is pretty sick and their LB corps are also pretty tough.

At least you are being consistent; you stood with him last season until he got benched. I hope that you are correct in your assessment of Brunell. I just don't think that you are. It's okay to agree to disagree.

There was also:

1. A more prominent role for Cooley
2. Gibbs more used to the new playclock
3. Offense more used to Gibbs' playbook

Among other things. The QB always gets more credit and blame than he deserves

Going into Dallas - with the way their defense is pressuring the Quarterback - I just feel more comfortable with Brunell. He is more mobile and knows how to protect the ball far better than Ramsey.

I think if Ramsey has time to stand back there, he can really make things happen; but in this day and age (and this is why they drafted Campbell) - with the way that defenses blitz, you just need someone who is going to be able to move around a bit.

first post for Brunell that makes some kind of sense, but that's basically putting everything on Portis again and forsaking the long ball. just like last year, like 6-10 last year.

Since Ramsey could not handle the role as the leader of this team, Portis said in an interview, that he would resume the role as the leader and motivate this team. That's what the team needs right now as we embark on busting up this losing streak against those Bums in Irving,TX. I really have no sympathy for a young QB who has had more opportunities than most and just couldn't cut the mustard. I knew this from the beginning. But I remained optimistic.

Brunell doesn't make big mistakes (which is a big plus for any quarterback), but he doesn't move the ball either. I could do the same thing by handing off the ball or taking a knee (and thus not throwing any picks) and not gaining any yards. I don't think any team can abandon the passing game and expect to win many games. I think we've essentially given up on the passing game by handing the ball to Brunell.
