Stout season (if there even is one nowadays) has been disappointing so far. Keep buying and trying new stouts and imperial brown ales etc and everything has been disappointing so far.

I used to drink stout all year, but can’t do it anymore sdskinsfan2001 10-28-2021, 09:43 PM Not there yet. Its gotta be consistently cold. I used to drink stout all year, but can’t do it anymore Stouts have never been my thing. Amber beers were about as "dark" as I've ever gone and that was like 15 years ago. Basically only drink pale ales and IPAs nowadays. Not including the occasional Coors Light/Miller Lite's. MTK 11-16-2021, 01:52 PM Picked up some Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, two things this year it appears to be in cans only, and it's now called Celebration Fresh Hop IPA (https://thefullpint.com/beer-news/sierra-nevada-celebration-fresh-hop-ipa-has-hit-distribution/). Regardless of the changes this year's batch is super delicious. mredskins 11-16-2021, 02:39 PM Picked up some Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, two things this year it appears to be in cans only, and it's now called Celebration Fresh Hop IPA (https://thefullpint.com/beer-news/sierra-nevada-celebration-fresh-hop-ipa-has-hit-distribution/). Regardless of the changes this year's batch is super delicious. WHAT!!!! I have saved a bottle from nearly every Christmas. dammit. sdskinsfan2001 11-20-2021, 12:40 AM You can't find new beers you might love without having some new ones you hate. I'm drinking a hate beer right now. I had the 1st can, didn't like it. So the next 2 I had were some stragglers I had leftover. Figured after 3, the taste buds would be a little dampened. I was incorrect. It's still gross. SunnySide 02-07-2022, 01:28 PM Noticed Monument City stopped stamping the bottom of their cans with the production date for a few months now. I stopped buying their ipas and pales, still getting their woodstove stout. This weekend I bought a sixer of their ipa 51 rye to give it a go and it was bad. It turned, it was stale and malty. So ive had a few and sent them an email and the responded back that their "date coder" should be active and will pass on to shipping. Dude ... none of your cans have had dates for months .. there is no way this wasnt an intentional decision .. theres no way you couldnt have noticed. Odd response. Some breweries like 15 years ago you had to go to their website and plug in some batch info for dates .. im assuming they arent talking about this though. punch it in 02-07-2022, 05:32 PM Im gonna be outta this thread (not that i was a heavy contributor but i dabbled) for the foreseeable future. Man those 4 packs are just a super big expense. I found myself thinking I was being frugal by grabbing the head high for like 15-16 bucks. Since the new year I have only purchased 15-18-20 packs of goose island or founders - whatever kind of ipa brewer makes em. Get that for pretty much the price of a four pack of dank shit. Ill treat myself or get something new if im out but home consumption is going to be a budget saver this year. sdskinsfan2001 02-09-2022, 10:37 PM Wicked Weed Brewing - Pernicious IPA is nice. Company is based in Ashville, NC. Giantone 02-10-2022, 11:39 AM Wicked Weed Brewing - Pernicious IPA is nice. Company is based in Ashville, NC. LOL, you're going to like many of the local micro brewers here on the East cost.:food-smil |
