Noticed Monument City stopped stamping the bottom of their cans with the production date for a few months now. I stopped buying their ipas and pales, still getting their woodstove stout.
This weekend I bought a sixer of their ipa 51 rye to give it a go and it was bad. It turned, it was stale and malty. So ive had a few and sent them an email and the responded back that their "date coder" should be active and will pass on to shipping.
Dude ... none of your cans have had dates for months .. there is no way this wasnt an intentional decision .. theres no way you couldnt have noticed.
Odd response. Some breweries like 15 years ago you had to go to their website and plug in some batch info for dates .. im assuming they arent talking about this though.
I don't pretend to know why they aren't .If they aren't a classified "micro brewer" (gallons brewed) they might not have to. Many brewers are having a hard time getting packaging it's why almost all are in cans. A brand I like is not pasturized and so they can only sell with in a certain radius of where it's brewed.

Taking out my freezer chilled mason jar about to pour me Bells Hopslam. Another year, another Hopslam season. Thankfully some things never change

I'm giving up alcohol, chips, and pasta for lent, so I was sucking beers down last night like they were the last ones I'll ever have. Even out here in SC, they have Lagunitas (from Northern California). One of my classic go to IPA's. Good stuff.

SD whenever Lent is over check out Palmetto you can buy at grocery store. Head to the Frothy Beard in West Ashley. For a man who likes to see guys faces like a hairy vagina you will love it.

Im gonna be outta this thread (not that i was a heavy contributor but i dabbled) for the foreseeable future. Man those 4 packs are just a super big expense. I found myself thinking I was being frugal by grabbing the head high for like 15-16 bucks. Since the new year I have only purchased 15-18-20 packs of goose island or founders - whatever kind of ipa brewer makes em. Get that for pretty much the price of a four pack of dank shit. Ill treat myself or get something new if im out but home consumption is going to be a budget saver this year.
That lasted 3 15 packs. Man I couldn’t sacrifice for money when it came to beer. Got to the point I didn’t even want one, and that’s when I knew I had a problem.
This is solid.

Been drinking lo cal beers. i used to drink imperial stouts and DIPAs but eat healthy and wasnt gaining weight but wasnt losing any.
Ive tried a bunch, the best so far taste wise to me is Oskar's One-y hazy ipa. 100m cals and has the most flavor.
Firestones Flyjack second.
Dogfish slightly mighty is decent third, they are all easy drinkers but this one is the best for summer outdoor, its crisp and lighter. The One-y and Flyjack try to give you that ipa feel.
you dont have to drink Trulys all summer.
we have options now.

Never been much of a Devil’s Backbone fan, but the 16 Point IPA is a banger. Worth a try for the Va beer locals
