Had a few beers over the holiday weekend:
Dominion Brewing Morning Glory Espresso Stout (http://www.fordhamanddominion.com/#!dominionbrews/c22j5) - Decent coffee stout but not better than Flying Dog's or Evo's
Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale (http://lagunitas.com/beers/dogtown-pale/) - quality pale ale. have loved everything these guys do
Schlafly Kolsch (http://schlafly.com/beers/styles/kolsch/) - Great drinking beer. Smooth, goes down easy. Would be a good beer to introduce craftbrews to that one guy who still only drinks macrobrew.

I'm a huge fan of Celebration Ale. Great beer, picked up a case of it.
I also discovered a terrific craft brewer out of Quebec while I was in Disney. The Canada section at Epcot's world showcase was featuring beers from Unibroue.
I tried these and LOVE them:
Unibroue Trois Pistoles Trois Pistoles | Unibroue | Chambly, QC, Canada | BeerAdvocate (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/22/30/)
If you like Troegs' Mad Elf, you'll love this one.
Unibroue La Fin du Monde La Fin Du Monde | Unibroue | Chambly, QC, Canada | BeerAdvocate (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/22/34/)
And if you like Victory's Golden Monkey, you'll love this one. It beats Golden Monkey.
i tried the la fin du monde - belgian style, i just cant get into them. i think this beer was too complex for me to appreciate or something. im not the most sophisticated beer drinker. i liked it, i would order and drink it but i wouldnt buy a sixer.
i got a variety sixer of unibroue. its good until the year 2016 lol. i literally bought the sixer bc i never tried a self fomenting beer bottle before. not sure if fomenting is the right word. beer tasted lively for sure.

Drinking a Lagunitas Brown Shugga. Good stuff!
Grabbed a 6er of this for New Years, but ended up drinking it yesterday. Had 4 of them. Since they are 9.9%, I felt very, very good. Helps that it is an awesome beer. I have yet to have a bad beer by Lagunitas.
Had a 6er of Uinta's Baba Black Lager, which I've had before. Very good lager. And a 6er of Pub Dog Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, which was just ok. A lot better chocolate stouts out there, but these guys are from MD so I gave it a whirl.

thats nuts, i cant wait to try it. I see these 22 oz bottles from sierra nevada that i have never heard of but never pull the trigger bc they are $6-10 a piece. i will pull the trigger on this one.
i also grabbed a 6er of brown shugga, it was good. i liked it. i need to get off west coast IPAs every now and then. def a strong ale.
i dont have the article in front of me but did a flood ruin a large portion of the market's barley?
beer prices are soaring like gas prices in the mid 2000s. unionjack went from 12.49 to 12.99. telltale heart ipa and a lot of others went from 8.99 or 9.99 to 10.99.

The articles I saw on the flooding of the barley crop said it won't affect beer prices in 2015...

BD - have you seen anything from farmstead hill in MD?
edit - no, farmstead brews a very little amount and want to keep their product quality control at its highest level. it is only avail in New Hampshire where it is brewed.
interesting article - apparently DC, unlike the 50 states, does not have a law that restricts alcohol sales across the line ... meaning if a DC distributor isnt selling enough of a product, a DC bar can go buy the beer and bring it back across DC lines for sale.
wish someone would go drive up to philly and buy some russian river.

^^^ MD distribution kinda sucks imo. im sure its better than half the states but i thought we would be a lot better.
if a mod thinks the list is too long, let me know and i will cut it out. kinda cool game if everyone bolds the beers they have tried. BD - you can just bold the beers you havent tried.
