Down Side- Arm strength is iffy. Tannehill has an awkward throwing motion and pushes the ball more than he flings it. Pass knockdowns aren't a big issue because of his size, but he doesn't stretch the field. Raw after only one full season as a QB.

Bottom Line- He probably need another year to get ready, but a potentially solid starter in a West Coast offense.

This is still a great thread.

I suspect RGIII carries far higher bust potential than most believe him to carry. He's a highly mobile QB from a basic college offensive system and, more importantly IMO, it's unclear if his hearts in the game. Can he eat, sleep and breath for the game 46 weeks each year? Wasn't it just a cpl/few months ago he was considering a law degree and putting pro football on hold? Really? Really?? It's pro friggin football and you wanna be the next Johnny Cochran...what fine chap you are indeed, sir!!!

I hope there isn't a $ limit on PM. Peyton's never struck me as an unreasonable guy, so he'll accept there's "consensus" idea what he's worth in the market. We should beat that number by a few hundred thousand. The real ? is whether Peyton wants to sign here i.e. does he believe this bidding team, right now, gives him the best opportunity to win right now? I'll be ecstatic if he dons the Burgundy and Gold!!!

I'll put it on a t-shirt: Peyton Manning: We're not ****in around anymore!!!

I tend to agree with you on your sentiments concerning RGIII. I get hot and cold on the idea.

I have loved the idea of PM in the B & G since the talk came out in early Feb that we were really looking at him. SS seems to think we are on his short list of teams he would sign with, and now I am just ecstatic that it may be a real possibility that we get to see #18. To me it is the much less risky decision.

wrong, completely disagree. Manning could play until he is 40 or 41, and that is 4 or 5 years. If anyone could do it, it is Peyton Manning.

And I cant wait to see the highlights of him tearing it up with a chip on his shoulder the size of Mt Everest.

Yep, I really hope it is here.

To those that say this is it for Shanny , then who would you really want to risk your coaching job with: Manning/Tannehill or another rookie OR RGIII and less young talent. If we don't trade up, I see the FO trading back and picking up some more pieces. If it's me, give me choice # 1.

This strategy will equal big wins and get this team relevant again for more than a year or two.

By the way, if we get RG3, this needs to be an avatar. LOL.
