Friends, I'll give you...but football stats...not so much. I asked one question and you failed it.

Elam is correct, but it was Tom Dempsey 1978...and Elam was 98.
Both are in the history books as 63 yarders, no one cares about the inches, it's a tie.
Actually, it was 1970 for Tom Dempsey (not 1978). So you can just turn in your "Football Stats King" card

I actually knew it was 1970...he retired in 79, and he did it in his second year, not second to last.
Little known fact about Dempsey's record 63 yarder in 1970...he only connected for 52.9% of his field goals that year.
Also a little known fact is that he wasn't very accurate at all over his career connecting for only 61.6% of his career (might have been 61.9%, but I know I'm close).
